Triumphant Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers concerning the flooding in the Houston Metropolitan Area. Thank You for strengthening those who were those impacted and for helping them to recover. Holy Spirit, thank You for pouring out Your spirit of love, compassion, benevolence and generosity towards them. Thank You for supplying all of their needs from Your glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Lord, You are great and Your power is absolute! Your understanding is beyond comprehension. Lord, Most High, You are awesome. You are the King of all the earth.
Gracious Father, we declare calm weather in the Houston Metropolitan Area. In the Name of Jesus, we command peace, be still! We decree that the predicted Hurricanes for this region will not bring excessive harm or devastation to our city and the surrounding coastal areas. By faith, we command the weather to be peaceful in this region and we destroy the attempts of satan to impact the atmospheric conditions in any way. We call the blessings of God to rest upon our economic, educational, political, judicial, technological, social, and health systems in this region. We command justice to run down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream within every governmental agency and insurance company that is responsible for helping our citizens and communities to recover. We rebuke every demonic power that influences the recovery process, especially the spirits of delay and greed. We command the necessary funds for rebuilding to come forth! We declare that their hope and confidence is not in FEMA or the insurance industry, but their hope and trust is in You, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
Ask the Holy Spirit what you can specifically do to help those families who are still recovering from the flooding in the Houston Metropolitan Area:

Holy Spirit, help our citizens to recover and heal, especially the families of those who died. Calm the fears of every citizen and let Your love and presence saturate their hearts, souls and spirits. Continue to send people who will love, support, and comfort them during their time of recovery. God, our Healer, please provide healing and speedy recovery to every citizen. Heal their physical, emotional, and psychological wounds and restore them as they rebuild their lives. Convict the heart of any business, agency or individual who would attempt to take advantage of people for profit or gain. Holy Spirit, lead and guide our governmental officials as they plan the revitalization of our city and the surrounding areas. Remind them to remember the poor as they plan. Please comfort and encourage those children whose lives have been greatly disrupted by the flooding. Calm their fears and help them to sleep soundly at night.
Righteous Father, forgive our citizens for their many sins. Forgive us all for disobedience, racism, rebellion, unbelief, forms of idolatry, immorality, murder, injustice, and perversion. Forgive us for not looking after the widows and orphans and for oppressing the poor and disadvantaged. Forgive us for greed, corruption and for putting the pursuit of material possessions above the needs of our neighbors. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our citizens of those they need to forgive and help them to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help our citizens to overcome their temptations and deliver us all from the evil one.
Lord, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power. You created all things, and they exist because You created what You pleased. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
