April 27: A Prayer for Persons Who Have Not Accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord (Leader) and Savior (Forgiver)

Magnificent Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for enlightening our hearts to say “yes” to You when You called us.  Thank You for deciding in advance to adopt us into Your family by bringing us to You through the Lord Jesus.  Lord, You are very great.  We will praise You, Lord, with all that we are and we will never forget the good things You have done for us. You are the One who forgives all our sins, heals us from diseases, redeems us from death, and crowns us with love and tender mercies. We honor You as our Lord and Savior.  Your majestic Name fills the earth.  Your glory is higher than the heavens!

Heavenly Father, we declare that Your Word, as it is spoken, will move swiftly through the earth and save the lost.  We confess that as the Gospel is shared, Your Word will be operative in the lives of those persons who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord (Leader) and Savior (Forgiver). We confess that as people confess with their mouths, the Lord Jesus, and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, they will be saved.  Father, they will know the Truth, and the Truth will set them free.  As for me, I confess my sins and I am confident that You are faithful and just to forgive me of my sins and will cleanse me from all unrighteousness.  Lord, I submit to You, my spirit, soul, and body.  I confess that in Jesus Christ, I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

List the people that you know who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Ask the Holy Spirit for the wisdom to witness to them.  Trust Him to give you the courage to approach them and the words to say to them.

Eternal Father, since the harvest is plentiful, please send laborers to proclaim Your Word of salvation to those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Father, as Your Word goes forth, touch the hearts of the unsaved to receive it.  Circumcise the heart of every man, woman, boy, and girl and draw them to You. Lord, surround them with the counsel of the Godly so that they are washed in the water of Your Word; putting away the old man and putting on the new.  Holy Spirit, please give me the courage and boldness to witness to the unsaved.  Help me to live in such a way that the light of Christ is seen in my private and public life.

Holy Father, forgive the unsaved for not acknowledging You or Your Son.  Forgive those for disobedience, hatred, rebellion, murder, idolatry, homosexuality, greed, racism, adultery, fornication, injustice, violence, and rejection of Your Gospel.  Please have mercy upon them and extend Your grace towards them.  Lord, forgive us as the Body of Christ for not sharing Jesus and the Gospel with more people.  Forgive me for at times being timid and reserved about one of the greatest miracles known to humankind.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Blessed Lord, You are the King of glory.  You are the Lord of hosts.  You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
