Prayer Leader: Bishop Ray Green, Part 1

God wants to increase our skill in prayer, not just our time in prayer.  The word of the Lord says the people of God will be a Houses of Prayer.  It takes skill to build a house: from preparing the ground to lay the foundation, laying the foundation, and building the frame on the foundation.  It takes many contractors to build a house.  Skill requires discerning the voice of God, understanding the voice of God, and communicating the message of God.  Prayer takes skill.

It takes skill to scale the walls of the enemy.

WE PRAY WHAT GOD TELLS US TO PRAY THROUGH HIS WORD BY HIS SPIRIT

Matthew 18:18-20 – 18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind (restrain, restrict) on earth will be bound (shall have already been bound) in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (shall have already be loosed). 19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

1 John 5:14-15 – Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us (He will respond). 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

We can stand with God on earth and echo what He has decreed in Heaven on earth.  We echo what we hear in the atmosphere and the spirit of the Lord restrains or loosens what is said.  We have been given the privilege to hear what is coming from Heaven.

He (Jesus) heals those oppressed (harshly treated) by diabolical powers and cures those that are under the abuse of authority coming through the devil.

John 12:49 -50 – “For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 “And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

(Joh 12:49 NKJ)

Jesus says, “I have not spoken on my own.  God has commanded me what to say and how to say it.  I speak exactly what the Father has told me say.”

Deuteronomy 18:18 – I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.

John 5:19 – Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

Prayer is the place where we see, discern, hear what the Father is saying and commanding.

John 7:16 – So Jesus told them, “My message is not my own; it comes from God who sent me.

John 8:26-28  – “I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him.” 27 They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father. 28 Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.

John 14:10 – Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

John 17:8,14 – For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. 14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

1 Peter 2:21-25 – For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. 22 He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. 23 He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. 24 He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. 25 Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.

Acts 10:38 – And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

Jesus went about healing those who are sick and oppressed of the devil.

The word is like a hammer that breaks rocks

The Word of God is a fire

The Word of God is a sword

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 – For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

How do we pray with skill?  In the spirit, we must be willing to be submissive to God.  It is voluntary.  Here is the strategy:  We bring every thought captive, that idea that my voice is equal to God’s voice, I bring that into captivity.  We avenge disobedience, we do it through our obedience.  God is telling us to turn, to repent.  After you have the will of God, you will receive the promise of God.

What is a stronghold: the understandings that goes against what God has to say about a thing.

Prayer is seeing and hearing.  We say only what the Father commands us to speak.

Prayer Targets

God, help us to realize when we are living out of the fleshly part of our lives.

We trust You, God, for divine intervention.

We stand against the spirit of disobedience.

Release angels to those who would become heirs of salvation.

We pray that leaders, heads of states have divine encounters with You.

Grant us your divine favor and insight.

May be found faithful to You and give our lives for the advancement of the Gospel and not just for the advancement of our lifestyles.

Let this be a time of Jubilee during this time of reckoning.

Put in the hearts of people to do the right thing.

Rebuild our economic system.

Pray for the invasion of the Holy Spirit to pull back the covers so the truth is revealed.

We decree that God is releasing grace and peace.

Holy Spirit give us a fresh new anointing about who Jesus really is and who the Church really is.

We have the victory!!
