A Prayer of Hope

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 97:1-6, Romans 15:4

Reflections of the Heart:

“The Lord heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

Scriptural Prayer:

Loving Father, we thank You for Your love. Thank You for the plans that You have for each of our lives; plans for good and not for disaster so that we may each have a future and a hope. Thank You that all of Your promises in Christ are Yes and in Him, Amen, to Your glory through us. Lord, we are joyful because we trust in You. You have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If we tried to recite all You wonderful deeds, we would never come to the end of them. Your throne, O God, lasts forever and ever.

Glorious King, You send Your Word out and it always produces fruit. It will do just what You want it to and it prospers everywhere that You send it. So, Father, we declare that we will continue to circle the promises that You have made in Your Word and confess them daily, trusting that Your Word will produce fruit in our lives. We will not grow weary while we wait for Your promises. We confess that we walk by faith and not by sight. We refuse to give up on You. We refuse to give in to small goals and we refuse to give out to fatigue or despair. Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ Jesus who loved us.

What do you need God to bless you and your family with? Find promises in His Word, and confess them over your life daily:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, help us to always pray God’s Word in faith. Remind us that God’s timing is always perfect and He knows exactly when to send His promises. Help us to take care of the blessings that God has already brought into our lives. Remind us to always be grateful for all that God does for us.

Gracious Father, forgive us for trusting people and things instead of You. Forgive us for growing weary while waiting for Your promises. Forgive us for not praying daily. Forgive us for doubting You and the promises You have given us. Father, please forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Lord, remind all of us of those we need to forgive; and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, please bring to my remembrance those that I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

All glory, majesty, power and authority are Yours, King Most High, before all time, in the present and beyond all time. You are the One who is and always was. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for The Prayer Institute

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 93, II Chronicles 7:12-16

Reflections of the Heart:

“Prayer is a supernatural vehicle created by God that allows natural human beings to communicate with Him and for Him, so that His plans for our lives — which reside with Him in the supernatural can be brought to fruition in the natural realm.” ~ Suzette Caldwell

Scriptural Prayer:

Great Father, we thank You for giving Pastors Kirbyjon and Suzette Caldwell the vision for The Prayer Institute. Thank You for the awesome platform it has given to prayer, as it is such a vital discipline for every believer. Thank You for the wonderful board members, staff and diligent volunteers You have assembled together to maintain the operations of The Prayer Institute. O Lord, when we think of Your goodness and boundless kindness toward The Prayer Institute, we cannot help but to erupt in high praise! Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue as we proclaim Your greatness. Everyone will share the story of Your wonderful goodness and sing with joy about Your righteousness. We worship You, Father. We take joy in being in Your presence.

Strong and Mighty Father, we decree that You are the source of hope for The Prayer Institute. Favor surrounds The Prayer Institute like a shield. We declare abundant blessings and favor upon the staff. We also declare Your abundant blessings and favor upon the Board of The Prayer Institute. We command doors of unprecedented opportunities to open this year for The Prayer Institute. We decree that as they serve Your people, Lord, their good deeds will shine out for all to see, causing people everywhere to give You praise. In faith, we expect You to expand the influence and reach of The Prayer Institute. We believe that the Holy Spirit will ignite more and more people to desire a richer and more powerful prayer life, as The Prayer Institute goes forth in ministry. We declare that Your vision for The Prayer Institute will continue to be revealed in the hearts and minds of its leaders and that they will faithfully carry it out according to Your will. We decree that every need will be met according to Your riches in glory.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You draw The Prayer Institute’s staff and volunteers closer together in the spiritual unity that is only found in Jesus Christ. Let the same mind be in them that was also in Him. Help them to spot problems and issues quickly and to be spiritually wise and discerning as they seek to solve them. Remind them to take good care of themselves and to not neglect their own spiritual, emotional, and physical care. Keep them balanced in their public and private lives so they are efficient and effective in all that they do. Draw the right people to invest their time, talent, and finances. Protect The Prayer Institute from any plans the enemy may have to hinder the good works that they do. We ask that You flood them with faithful benefactors who will give to the services they provide to the Body of Christ and to the community.

Redeeming Father, please forgive The Prayer Institute’s staff and volunteers of any sins they have committed. Forgive them for any time that they have grown complacent in the work You have assigned them to do. Forgive those who have been neglecting themselves and their families and not taking time to rest and reflect. Forgive those who speak evil against The Prayer Institute. Forgive those who have not fulfilled their commitments to The Prayer Institute. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy Spirit, remind The Prayer Institute’s staff and volunteers of all those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help the staff and volunteers of The Prayer Institute not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Magnificent Lord, You are robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. You created all things and they exist because You created what You pleased. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Declaration of Success for The Power Center

Scripture Reading:

I Chronicles 29:10-15, Proverbs 16:1-9

Reflections of the Heart:

The Power Center is a monument of God’s greatness and His favor. God always keeps His promises. So, let us continue to declare God’s Word, which is His will for The Power Center.

Scriptural Prayer:

Magnificent Father, we thank You for The Power Center. Thank You for the employment and business opportunities You have brought into our community through The Power Center. Thank You for using The Power Center to attract businesses, wealth, health and hope to this community. This is Your doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. Lord, You are great and greatly to be praised. You are to be feared above all gods. We exalt You, our God and King, and praise You every day. Each generation will tell its children of Your mighty acts; they will proclaim Your power. Lord, Your works are wonderful. We are grateful that when we, the righteous, cry out, You hear and deliver us out of our troubles.

Lord Jesus, You are the cornerstone upon which The Power Center was constructed. Let it be unto The Power Center according to Your Word. Lord, we expect the double portion for The Power Center. We expect that You will turn and leave Your blessings upon The Power Center staff and its occupants. We declare that You will continue to bless and protect every staff member, entrepreneur and client of The Power Center. As they walk uprightly, Lord, we know that You will withhold no good thing from them. We confess that all Your blessings will come upon them and overtake them, because they will obey Your voice. They are blessed in the city and in the country. We believe that You will command blessings on their storehouses and on the works of their hands. We confess that You will cause the latter rain to come down for The Power Center and its occupants, and You will send them enough business to satisfy their needs. We confess that You will pour out Your Spirit on The Power Center and its occupants and You will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth. We declare peace within the walls of The Power Center and prosperity throughout the entire complex.

Holy Spirit, show me what I can do to be a blessing to The Power Center occupants:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Awesome Father, we ask that You would surround the board of directors, executive director, staff and occupants of The Power Center with Your favor like a shield. We ask that Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, and power rest on each of them. Give them the resources to provide programs of economic, emotional, and social empowerment for the Houston community. Fill them with the knowledge of Your will and give them a thirst for Your Word so that they can learn Your ways for practicing business. Holy Spirit, help them to make righteous decisions and operate with justice, practical insight and integrity. We ask that You will continue to bless The Power Center and make its name great so that it will continue to be a blessing to this community. Lord, please open new revenue streams for The Power Center. Holy Spirit, touch the public and private sectors to continue to invest resources into The Power Center. Lord, build a hedge of protection around The Power Center that cannot be penetrated. We ask You to rebuke the spirit of theft and vandalism. Convict those who steal to steal no more and those who seek to do harm to do good.

Forgiving Father, forgive us for taking The Power Center for granted. Forgive the clients and the staff of The Power Center for all acts of sin, including racism, injustice, lying, stealing and mediocrity. Forgive those staff members and occupants for not trusting You to be their provider, protector, and deliverer. Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

You are the Blessed and Sovereign One. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. You alone have immortality, dwelling in an unapproachable light, whom no man can see. Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer of Preparation for the Spring Feasts

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 57:7-11, Deuteronomy 16:1-12

Reflections of the Heart:

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.” Revelation 21:3

Scriptural Prayer:

Amazing Father, we thank You for preparing us for the Spring Feasts. Thank You for Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Firstfruits and Pentecost. Thank You for drawing us into a more intimate relationship with You through these feasts. We will sing songs of joy to You. We will sing a new song of praise to You and play skillfully on the harp. Your Word, Lord, holds true and we can trust everything that You do. You love whatever is just and good; Your unfailing love fills the earth. We put our hope in You, Lord. You are our help and our shield. In You do our hearts rejoice, for we trust in Your holy Name. Let Your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in You alone.

Holy Father, You loved the world so much that You gave Your only begotten Son as Redeemer, sacrificed on the altar of the cross, freeing all believers from slavery to sin. As we come together during the springtime of the year, we will prepare ourselves to meet with You to celebrate the Passover, the Festival of Unleavened Bread and the Celebration of the Firstfruits. We will examine ourselves and confess our sins to You, that we may be forgiven. In our homes, we and our families vow to serve You alone. We will carefully examine our homes, just as we examine ourselves, to be certain that there is no unclean thing that would separate us from Your presence. As You have decreed, we will remove all yeast from our homes as we prepare to celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. At the same time, we will remove all wickedness from our hearts so that we can come before You with clean hands.

List the things you need to do in preparation for the Spring Feasts:

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, as we study God’s Word, instruct us in preparing for the Spring Feasts. Bring to our remembrance areas in our lives that need to be transformed in order to be cleansed of sin or idolatry. Help us to develop a greater appreciation for the blessings the Father has given us. Father, bless our families and enlarge our territories so that we may have even more to bring back into Your Kingdom. Help us to share this wonderful time with our friends and family members and use it as a tool to witness Your love and salvation to the lost.

Redeeming Father, forgive us corporately and individually for our sins. Forgive us for holding on to our old ways and for being reluctant to follow Your precepts which are new to us. Forgive those who choose not to celebrate Your festivals or those who are unable or unwilling to bring offerings to You. Forgive us for being timid and afraid to share the information about Your festivals with our friends, family members and co-workers. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Almighty King, You created the heavens and stretched them out. You created the earth and everything in it. You give breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth. You alone are the Lord! You will not give Your glory to anyone else, nor will You share Your praise with carved idols. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer of Love for God and Our Neighbor

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 93, I John 4:7-21

Scriptural Prayer:

Almighty Father, thank You for loving us despite how we sometimes act or think. Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with Your love, so that we may share love with others. Thank You for helping us to be more loving and compassionate towards others. Lord, we come before You clapping our hands and shouting joyful praise to You. You are the great King of all the earth. You subdue the nations before us and put our enemies under our feet. Our hearts are confident in You, Father. Because of this confidence, we will sing Your praises. We will wake the dawn with our song, Lord, among all the people. We will sing Your praises among the nations for Your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Glorious Father, as Your dear children, we commit to loving You with all our hearts, and with all our souls, and with all our minds. This is the greatest and most important commandment of all. In the same Spirit, we also commit to loving our neighbors as ourselves. We confess that the Holy Spirit fills and controls us as we commit to doing Your will. We decree that we will be patient and kind instead of acting jealous, boastful, proud or rude. We will not demand our own way, but we will be considerate of others and their opinions. We will not be irritable or keep a record of being wronged. But, we will be joyful and quick to forgive. We commit to living a righteous life. We will be patient and will not return evil with evil. We will let our light shine so that people will see our good works and glorify You, our Father.

Holy Spirit, show us how to truly love the Father with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength. Reveal to us those habits, mindsets and attitudes that prevent us from being truly surrendered to the Father. Help us to not deceive ourselves by thinking we are walking in love while using our tongues to curse those who have been made in the Father’s image. In this world where we are told to put ourselves first, help us to truly put the Father first in our lives, and to esteem others better than ourselves.

Exalted Father, we ask Your forgiveness for our sins. Forgive us for being irreverent and apathetic towards You. Forgive us for murmuring and complaining and not showing our love and appreciation for all that You do for us. Forgive us for being impatient with our neighbor. Forgive us for picking and choosing to whom we will show love. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Eternal Lord, You are God alone. You created the heavens and the earth; You put everything in its place. You made the world to be lived in, not a place of empty chaos. You are the Lord and there is no other. You only speak what is true and declare only what is right. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer of Faith for Our Business Professionals

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 29, John 3:1-6

Scriptural Prayer:

Eternal Father, thank You for being in relationship with our business professionals. Thank You for drawing them into Your holy family through the meritorious works of Jesus Christ. Thank You for creating them to be kings of The King and lords of The Lord. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to lead and guide them on their faith walk. The heavens proclaim Your glory and the skies display Your craftsmanship. Lord, business professionals will praise You with their whole hearts, tell of all the marvelous things You have done and be filled with joy because of You. They will sing praises to Your Name, O Most High.

Righteous Father, as citizens of Your Kingdom, we declare that our business professionals are righteous people who live by faith. We decree that they live their lives in faith by believing in You and Your Word, and they are not influenced by things they see with their natural eyes. They will trust in You with all of their hearts and not depend on their own understanding. As they seek Your will in all that they do and in every situation, they will trust that You will show them which path to take. By faith, we declare that they will strip off every weight that slows them down, especially the sin that so easily trips them up. They will run with endurance the race that You have set before them, keeping their eyes on Jesus, the Champion, who initiates and perfects their faith. They will seek Your Kingdom above all else and live righteously and trust that You will give them everything they need. As Kingdom citizens, they will trust You with their finances, families, businesses relationships and all other areas of their lives. Father, their works will reflect the faith that they have in You!

Holy Spirit, as I pray for business professionals, I pray specifically for an increase of faith for?

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, please help our business professionals to relinquish control to You. Transform the way they think as they meditate on the Word. Help them to let their good deeds shine out for all to praise You, our heavenly Father. Empower them to model and teach Kingdom faith to family members, co-workers and the general public. Show them any areas in their lives where their faith may be faltering. Please help those who have had so many disappointments, missed opportunities or conflicts in life to stand boldly and walk in their Kingdom authority.

Heavenly Father, please forgive our business professionals for all acts of sinfulness including lying, fornication, adultery, idolatry, profanity, deception, drug abuse and theft. Forgive those for having more faith in themselves, their jobs, finances, gifts and talents and other people than they do in You. Forgive those for harboring dead faith. Remind our business professionals of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help our business professionals not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Triumphant Lord, all glory belongs to You, who alone is God. All glory, majesty, power and authority are Yours before all time and in the present and beyond all time! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Prayer for the Protection for the Houston Metropolitan Area

 Scripture Reading:

Psalm 65, Psalm 37

Reflections of the Heart:

We cry out, “Lord protect our city”! Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. Psalm 127 (NLT)

Scriptural Prayer:

Eternal Father, we thank You for the communities within the Houston Metropolitan Area. Thank You for protecting our city from terrorist attacks and destruction. Thank You for providing safety and protection for the families who live here. Thank You, Father, for blessing our city to continue to prosper during lean times. Lord, we will praise You in the great assembly. We will fulfill our vows in the presence of those who worship You. The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek You will praise You. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy. The whole earth will acknowledge You and return to You. All the families of the nations will bow down before You.

Blessed Father, let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in the Houston Metropolitan Area. Father, unless You build the house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless You protect Houston, guarding it with sentries will do no good. We declare that Christ will be lifted up in our city. As a result, we expect people to be drawn to Him. We confess that the living God, the Lord strong and mighty, is the Lord of the Houston Metropolitan Area. We decree that we are a city that lives in the shelter of the Most High and we find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. God, alone, is our refuge, our place of safety. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is our God and we will trust in Him. We declare that God’s peace will prevail in our city. Lord, we confess that no evil will come upon the Houston Metropolitan Area; neither will any plague come near our homes. Your Word states that You have given Your angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. Therefore, we expect that You alone will make us dwell in safety.

What would you like the Lord to do for our city? Ask Him:

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Compassionate Father, we ask You to repair any breaches in the hedge of protection that is built around the Houston Metropolitan Area. Destroy the assignments of the spirit of terrorism, theft, vandalism, poverty, perversion, greed and injustice. Convict those in our city who steal to steal no more and those who seek to do harm to do good. Holy Spirit, let Your power and presence prevail throughout our great city. Please expose every evil plot against our city and its citizens. Help every Houstonian to walk in love and unity towards each other and remind us to watch out for each other. Father, dispatch Your angels to stand guard over the Gulf Coast region. Continue to bless our city so that we can be a blessing to others. Help us to increase our generosity as we trust You to provide.

Admirable Father, we admit our sinfulness as a city. Forgive all of us for any acts of sinfulness, including theft, strife, discord, jealousy, rivalries, violence, injustice, hatred, oppression, greed, idolatry, pride, arrogance, slander, adultery, fornication, sexual perversion, stinginess, racism, sexism and ageism. Forgive those who do not put their trust in You at all times. Forgive those persons who have not acknowledged the blessings You have poured out upon our city. Forgive those residents who are Christian for not sharing Your Gospel with their neighbors and co-workers. As for me, Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Exalted Lord, Your Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Lord, You reign, and You are clothed with majesty; You have girded Yourself with strength. The world is established, so that it cannot be moved. Your throne is established from of old and You are from everlasting. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Kingdom Government and Unity

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 136, Joel 2:28-29

Scriptural Prayer:

Honorable Father, we thank You for Your tender mercies and loving-kindness towards the Body of Christ throughout the world. Lord, we are thankful for the freedom to worship You, our God. Thank You for the bountiful blessings You have given to us. Thank You for uniting the Body around the world. Thank You for increasing Your presence, power, anointing, and abundance in our cities and throughout the world. Lord, no pagan god is like You!  None can do what You do. All the nations You made will come and bow before You; they will praise Your Holy Name!  You are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God!

Righteous Father, let Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven concerning Your Kingdom governance throughout the earth and unity among the Body of Christ.  As Your people, we humble ourselves, praying and seeking Your face, now!  We believe Your Word that says as we turn from our wicked ways, You will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land.  We are expecting Your eyes to open and Your ears to be attentive to our prayers today.  We are expecting You to sanctify the Body of Christ and place Your Name here and throughout the world, forever. Glorious Father, we confess, by faith, the Body of Christ, in our city and around the world, is one, just as You and Your Son are one. Let Your heart beat among us and unify us throughout the generations. In Jesus Name, we destroy every demonic assignment against the peace and unity of the Body of Christ. We stand against every label that serves to divide Your people – labels like denomination, political party affiliation, race, ethnicity, nation of origin and economic status – and we declare that we are one in You, Lord. We stand against the spirits of confusion, arrogance, deceit and pride.  We render their works null and void.  We declare that we will be like-minded and there will be no division in the Spirit among us. We will love our neighbors as ourselves. Lord, You said that in Your Son, Jesus Christ, there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free, male nor female.  We confess that we are all one in Christ Jesus and we will put on love which is the bond of perfection.

Holy Father, we ask You to fill every believer worldwide with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Help us to walk worthy and fully pleasing before You. As believers, help us to be fruitful in every good work.  Please strengthen the leaders of our churches and help them to represent Your Kingdom in the earth.  Holy Spirit, synchronize the heart of every believer and unify our spirits to receive and submit to Your vision for our city.  Help all of us to do our part to manifest Your vision for Your Church!  Please help individual members of congregations to serve You by manifesting real Kingdom change in the world, as we walk in the fruit of the Spirit demonstrating love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Lord, touch the hearts of all believers, in the midst of this health crisis, to re-present You among their family members, neighbors, strangers  and  even  their  enemies. As we meet the needs of others, use us to bring Glory to Your Name.

Forgiving  Father, forgive the Body of Christ for its many sins (list additional sins). Forgive us for separating ourselves through denominations, ethnicity, and socio-economic status. Forgive us for not loving each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.  Forgive our churches for being self-centered and self-absorbed.  Forgive us when we have had a form of Godliness, but denied Your power.  Forgive us for not always being Kingdom-minded.  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us as the Body of Christ not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil on.

Sovereign King, You are the visible image of the invisible God. You existed  before anything was created and You are supreme over all creation.  Through You, everything was created in the heavenly realms and on earth. You made the visible as well as invisible things. Thrones, kingdoms, rulers and authorities in the unseen world were all created through You and for You. You existed before anything else and You hold all creation together! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Economic Development in Our Community

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 108, Genesis 41:47-57

Reflections of the Heart:

God believes in economic development. He wants a community to thrive and a nation to flourish. Psalm 33:12 States, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.”

Scriptural Prayer:

Almighty Father, we thank You for providing for Your children, during these tough economic times. Thank You for being the source of our supply. We thank You for taking care of us and supplying all of our needs from Your glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Father, You created the heavens and the earth and everything in it. You give breath to everyone and life to everyone  who  walks  the  earth. We will praise Your mighty deeds, O Sovereign Lord. We will tell everyone that You alone are just. We praise You, Lord! Father God, we are joyful because we fear You, Lord, and delight in obeying Your commands. We are blessed to be Your children.

Heavenly Father, we expect business leaders in our community to honor Your Word and live by Your precepts. We command light to shine in the darkness for the Godly. We declare that they are generous, compassionate, and righteous. Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly. Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. During the current economic difficulties in our nation and around the world, we claim prosperity for our community. We decree  that the merchants in our community will not fear bad news; they confidently trust You, Lord, to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly. They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor. The wicked will see this and be infuriated. They will grind their teeth in anger; they will slink away, their hopes thwarted. Lord, we expect You to pour down Your blessings upon our community. We decree that our land will yield its bountiful harvest. Father, we will support the businesses of the Godly men and women in our community.

Magnificent Father, touch the hearts of the people in our community to support the businesses. Help the business owners to establish fair and honest business practices so that the residents in our community will enjoy doing business with them. Show the owners and managers new and creative ways to increase their revenue without taking advantage of their customers. Convict the hearts of business owners in all communities who treat their employees and customers poorly. Holy Spirit, help the employees to be diligent, hard working individuals who will work as unto You instead of to man.

Make a list of businesses in your community and begin to support them.

Righteous Father, forgive the business owners in our community for all acts of sinfulness. Forgive those  who have not been diligent in seeking Your leadership for their businesses. Forgive those who do not trust in You and Your business principles; but lean on their own understanding. Forgive those who have compromised Your Word in order to make a profit. Forgive those who have not treated their employees and customers fairly. Forgive those who have not properly taken care of or shown respect for the community they live in. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind the business owners in our community of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help the business owners in our community not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Almighty God, You are awesome in Your sanctuary.  O God of Israel, You give power and strength to Your people. Sovereign Lord, You are great! You are robed with honor and majesty. You are the eternal King. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for College Students

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 135:1-13, Daniel 1:1-17

Reflections of the Heart:

The benefits that a college education affords are priceless. It is a blessing for students to be able to attend college and afford a good education; so we praise God for all who pay the tuition of a college student.

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for our college students. Thank You for providing the ability for them to learn and  process  information. Thank You for helping them with their studies and blessing them in the  classroom. Thank You for blessing them with scholarships, financial aid and employment. Lord, we are grateful and we bless Your wonderful Name. Your majestic Name fills the earth. You have taught children and infants to tell of Your strength; You have silenced Your enemies and all who oppose You. Father, when we look at the night sky and see the work of Your fingers—the moon and the stars You have set in place—what are mere mortals that You should think about them, human beings that You should care for them? Your thoughts toward us are precious; they cannot be numbered!

Eternal Father, we confess Your Word over our college students as they pursue their education and over the persons who pay their tuition. We are expecting You to work effectually in them, creating within them the  power and desire to study and complete their course work. We confess that favor will surround them and they will have good relationships with their teachers and fellow students. Lord, we confess that they will put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within them and will not defile themselves with the ways of the world through fornication, excessive drinking and illegal drug use, unclean behavior, ungodly passions, evil desire, covetousness, rebellion, and idolatry. Lord, we confess that those who are paying for tuition will have more than enough. We declare that their needs will be supplied from Your glorious riches which have been given to them in Christ Jesus. Like Jesus, we declare that our students are increasing in wisdom and stature and they have favor with You, their teachers, school administrators, and fellow students. We confess that they will stay focused on their studies as if they were working for You. Father, we declare that there will be an abundance of part-time employment opportunities for students needing work in order to pay their tuition and remain in school.

List the people you know who are continuing their education. Now begin to pray for their success academically and financially:

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, help our college students to remain focused and committed to their

studies. Help them to not grow weary with the process, but to continue to study and apply themselves so that they may achieve their goals. Help them to balance their studies and family responsibilities. Show them, Holy Spirit, how to include down time in their busy schedules so they do not become burned out. Please open internship opportunities that will allow them to obtain hands-on experience in their respective career choices. Lord, please continue to open financial doors and reveal scholarships, grants, and other financial aid opportunities. Help our students in Christ to differentiate between Your truth and the world’s facts. Please help them to be a light in their environment and not conform to the practices and activities of college life that are contrary to Your will for them. Strengthen and empower them with Your wisdom and power. Lord, protect our students and keep them healthy and their bodies strong. Protect them from meningitis, depression, STDs and other infirmities common in a dorm environment.

Wonderful Father, forgive those students who have not been diligent in their studies. Forgive them for not trusting You to provide all their needs. Forgive them for getting involved with people and activities that do not add  value  to  their  education. Please forgive them for all acts of  sinfulness including: lack of faith, idolatry, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, homosexuality, drunkenness and revelries. Father, forgive those who pay  tuition by trying to do everything by themselves instead of trusting You. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our students of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help our students not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. Lord, You are King! You are robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. Lord, Your throne has stood from time immemorial. You are from the everlasting past. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
