A Prayer for Entrepreneurs

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 95, Psalm 1

Reflections of the Heart:

Godly entrepreneurs should be mindful of the seven things the Lord detests, which are haughty eyes, lying tongues, hands that kill the innocent, hearts that plot evil, feet that race to do wrong, false witnesses who pour out lies and persons who sows discord among brothers.  As entrepreneurs, we should walk in Godly integrity, and our communities will reap the benefits.

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, You are God, and Your Word is true.  We extol You as our God and King.  We will bless Your Name forever and ever.  We will bless You and praise Your Name each day.  You are great and greatly to be praised.  You are our source, and we place our trust in You.  Thank You for providing for our entrepreneurs throughout the years. Thank You, Father, for blessing businesses within our community and opening doors of opportunity to produce profit and employment.  Thank You for the economic development that we have in our community.

Lord, we confess Your Word to be operative in the lives of our entrepreneurs and the economic development of our community.  We confess that our entrepreneurs are blessed, and we expect favor to surround Your people like a shield.  We decree that as our entrepreneurs commit their works to You, their thoughts will be established.  We declare that our entrepreneurs will honor You with their possessions and with the first fruits of all their increases so that their barns will be filled and their vats will overflow with new wine.  We declare that whatever they do, they will do it heartily, as to You and not to men.  Lord, we confess that as our entrepreneurs walk uprightly, no good thing will be withheld from them.  We expect You to look upon the economic development in our community favorably and make our land fruitful.  Father, as You continue to bless us, we will be a blessing to the entrepreneurs in our community by frequenting their businesses.

Holy Spirit, we ask that Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, and power rest on each entrepreneur, investor and employee.  Fill them with the knowledge of Your will, and give them a thirst for Your Word so that they can learn Your ways for practicing business.  Holy Spirit, help them to make righteous decisions and operate with justice and integrity.  Give them dreams and visions that exceed their expectations and provide new ideas to recreate themselves within the business world.  Father, encourage potential entrepreneurs to write down Your vision for their business and make it plain in a business plan so that they and their investors can implement it.  We ask for the creation of new revenue streams in our community.  Touch the public and private sectors to continue to invest in our community.  Lord, please continue to bless our community so that it will reflect Your glory and benefit the people living in it.

Holy Spirit, show me what I can do to help improve the economy of my community:

Heavenly Father, forgive our entrepreneurs for all acts of sinfulness.  Forgive those who have not been diligent in seeking Your leadership for their businesses.  Forgive those who do not trust in You but lean on their own understanding.  Forgive those who have compromised Your Word to make a profit.  Forgive those who have not treated their employees and customers fairly.  Forgive those who have not been faithful in giving through tithes and offerings.  Forgive those who have not properly taken care of or shown respect for the community they live in.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.  (Take a moment and the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, You are the King of glory.  You are the Lord of hosts.  You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Declaration of Financial Breakthrough

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 113, Deuteronomy 6:10-25

Reflections of the Heart:

“As a king of the King, I will make choices so that my God-given domain positions me for blessings, delight, provision and prohibition.  I choose to get ready for my new life as a king!” ~ Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our provider.  Thank You for giving us Your Word on how to make our way prosperous and successful.  Father, thank You for surrounding us with Your favor like a shield as we do business in our public and private lives. Thank You for continuing to open doors of opportunity.  Thank You, Father, for Your Word to use as our economic strong tower during these trying financial times.  We praise You with all of our hearts; we will tell of all the marvelous things You have done.  Your reign is forever.  You execute judgment from Your throne.  You judge the world with justice and the people righteously.  Lord, You are a shelter for the oppressed and a refuge in times of trouble.  We trust in You because we know Your Name; we know that You do not abandon those who search for You.  Father, Your righteousness reaches to the highest heavens. You have done wonderful things!  Who can compare with You?

Glorious Father, we declare that we are blessed because we fear You, and delight in obeying Your commands.  We believe that Your plans for our finances are for good and not for disaster, to give us a prosperous future and a hope.  As we are willing and obedient, according to Your Word, we will have plenty to eat.  We will trust in You because we know that Your Word is Truth. We confess that our confidence is in You and not in our jobs, our investments, our bank accounts or ourselves. We commit to seeking Your Kingdom first above all things and living righteously and we know that You will give us everything we need. We rebuke old mindsets, habits and behavior patterns that have created lack and poverty. In the Name of Jesus, we stand united against thoughts of failure, defeat and mediocrity. According to Your Word, we confess that we will be wealthy and our good deeds will last forever.

What are God’s promises for your finances?  Write those Scriptures down and confess them over your life:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, we ask You to help those who are drowning in financial debt.  Lead them to someone who can help them to manage their finances better. As we receive increases in our finances, help us, Holy Spirit, to remember that You are the One who provides abundance. Please help us to not hoard Your financial blessings. Your Word says that when we help the poor, we are lending to the Lord and He will repay our generosity. So please, Holy Spirit, remind us to be generous and to look for opportunities to be a financial blessing to someone else in need. Teach us Your Way to love people and to use money, rather than the devil’s way of loving money and using people.

Merciful Father, forgive us for all acts of sin including idolatry, greed, stinginess, self-centeredness, arrogance, pride, stubbornness, financial disobedience and any other act of unrighteousness. Forgive those of us who continue to participate in the downward spiral of financial mismanagement.  Forgive those of us who, whether in ignorance or in rebellion, fail to develop financial plans that include tithing, debt reduction, savings and investments. Forgive us for living beyond our means and misusing credit cards. Father, forgive those members of the Body of Christ who do not pay their tithes and help them to get on track and begin to tithe.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Glorious Lord, You made the earth by the power of Your Word and preserve it by Your Wisdom.  With Your own understanding You stretched out the heavens.  When You speak in the thunder, You announce that the heavens are filled with water.  You cause the clouds to rise over the earth.  You send the lightning with the rain and release the wind from Your storehouses.  Holy, holy, holy are You the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the whole earth is filled with Your glory!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Prayer Regarding the Radical Redistribution of Wealth

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 113, Ephesians 4:30-32

Scriptural Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our God. Thank You for our Pastors and Church Family. Father, we thank You for surrounding us with Your favor like a shield. Thank You for continuing to open doors of financial opportunity. We praise You with all of our hearts; we will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. Your reign is forever. You execute judgment from Your throne. You judge the world with justice and the people righteously. Father, Your righteousness reaches to the highest heavens. You have done wonderful things! Who can compare with You?

Lord of Heaven’s Armies, let justice roll down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream. By faith, we decree that Your Spirit remains among us, so we are not afraid. We believe that in just a little while You will again shake the heavens and the earth, the oceans and the dry land. We conceive that You will shake all the nations, and the treasures of all the nations will be brought to this Temple. Lord, we receive the promise that You will fill this place with Your glory. The silver and gold is Yours! As Your people, we confess that Your glory is upon us, and people will see and take special notice of the brightness of our rising. We are the seed of Abraham and blessed in all of our doings. Therefore, as Your people, we will achieve with the same anointing that came upon Israel when they spoiled Egypt of their silver, their gold, and their fine apparel for that anointing remains here with us, now! Lord, today, we call forth the Radical Redistribution of Wealth into our land, so that we are lenders and not borrowers!

What is your dream for creating economic wealth?

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, as we receive economic wealth, help us to remember that it is the Lord who gives us the power to get wealth to fulfill His covenant. Please help us not to hoard Your financial blessings. Remind us to be generous and to look for opportunities to be a financial blessing to someone else in need. Help us to walk in humility, meekness, love with long-suffering, gentleness and goodness. Empower us to not be afraid or intimidated by the world, nor be impressed by the appearance of its power and influence.

Merciful Father, forgive us for all acts of sin, including idolatry, greed, stinginess, self-centeredness, arrogance, pride, stubbornness, financial disobedience and any other act of unrighteousness. Forgive those of us who fail to develop financial plans that include tithing, debt reduction, savings and investments. Forgive us for living beyond our means and misusing credit cards. Father, forgive those of us who do not pay our tithes and help us get on track and begin to tithe. Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. Holy Father, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Sovereign Lord, You made the earth by the power of Your Word and preserve it by Your Wisdom. With Your own understanding, You stretched out the heavens. When You speak in the thunder, You announce that the heavens are filled with water. You cause the clouds to rise over the earth. You send the lightning with the rain and release the wind from Your storehouses. Holy, Holy, Holy are You the Lord of Heaven’s Armies; the whole earth is filled with Your glory! In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Prayer for People Looking for Employment

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 47, Ezekiel 34:25-31

Reflections of the Heart:

God knows exactly what His children stand in need of. His Word is full of promises concerning His provision, protection and care for us. Stand on His promises as you, or those you know, look for employment and expect to receive the manifestation of those promises.

Scriptural Prayer:

Most Excellent Father, thank You for allowing Your children to dwell in the secret place under Your shadow. Thank You for being our refuge and fortress. You are a Mighty God! Thank You for meeting the needs of those who are currently unemployed. Thank You, Lord, for assuring us as Your children that our promotion does not come from any earthly source, but it is You alone who judges who will rise and who will fall. We rest and trust in You because this whole earth and those who dwell in it belong to You. With all that we are, we will praise You. We will never forget the good things that You do for us. Glory To Your Holy Name!

Brilliant Father, in Jesus’ Name, we command the doors of favor and opportunity for employment to open for our unemployed brothers and sisters! We confess that as they seek Your Kingdom above all else and live righteously, You will give them everything they need. We decree that they will not be idle or lazy, wanting much, but doing little. No! They will be diligent and work hard, and will prosper. We declare that our unemployed will not be worried about anything. Instead, they will pray about everything and trust You to meet their needs. They will remain thankful for all You have done in their lives. Even when they are confronted with rejection or negative reports, they will remain confident that You are for them and they will not be fearful of what people will do to them. We confess that they will continually study Your Word and meditate on it day and night. As they do this, they will prosper and succeed in all that they do. We decree that Your favor will surround them as with a shield when they go for interviews. We confess that they will not lean to their own understanding, but as they acknowledge You in all of their ways, we trust that You will show them which path to take as they continue to seek employment.

If you know someone who is unemployed or who wants new employment, write down their names and insert their names into this prayer:

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, help our unemployed friends and family members (speak the names) to prepare themselves and enhance their skills so that they will be ready when opportunities present themselves. Help them to wait patiently on the Lord and trust Him to guide them to the job He has for them. Enlighten the eyes of their understanding to know their strengths and to find creative ways to highlight their resumes and job applications. Touch the hearts of those who are resistant to change and encourage them to look for new career opportunities. Remove fear and anxiety from their lives. Help (speak the names) to resist pride and to be humble and honest with those who will interview them. Show them how to use sound judgment as they weigh their job offers. Continue to supernaturally meet their day-to-day needs as they continue to pursue employment opportunities. When (speak the names) receive their new jobs, remind them to tithe and to honor You with their wealth and with the best part of everything they produce to show their gratitude to God, our Father.

Merciful Father, please forgive those who have failed to honor You in the workplace during their past employment. Forgive those who believe the world’s report more than Your report about their future. Forgive those for who have not honored You with tithes and offerings consistently. Father God, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind those who are seeking employment to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help those who are seeking employment not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Omnipotent Lord, salvation and glory and power belong to You! You are the Lord Almighty who reigns. Summon Your might, O God and display Your power as You have in the past. As Your Name deserves, O God, You will be praised to the ends of the earth. Your strong right hand is filled with victory! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer Regarding Poverty

Scripture Reading:Psalm 81:1-10, James 2:1-12

Reflections of the Heart:

“I believe that as long as there is plenty, poverty is evil.” ~ Robert Kennedy

Scriptural Prayer:

Glorious Father, we thank You for Your all-encompassing love. Thank You for giving us the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, who will never leave us, but will lead us into all truth. We thank You for being the God who gives justice to the poor. Your eternal Word stands firm in heaven. Your faithfulness extends to every generation. Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves Your plans. We will never forget Your commandments, for, by them, You give us life. We give You praise and glory, Father! We adore You as the One who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything. Power and might are in Your hand, and at Your discretion, people are made great and given strength. Hallelujah to Your Holy Name!

Divine Father, we understand that poverty is a spiritual oppression that manifests itself in lack, debt, shame, despair and injustice. Therefore, in the Name of Jesus, we cancel the assignments of the spirit of poverty! We declare that we have been anointed to respond with wise, decisive action to the curse of poverty through the provision of jobs, homes, businesses, services and community support. As kings of the King and lords of the Lord, we have the power to abolish poverty from our communities because we have been given authority over all the power of the enemy. We commit to spreading the Good News about Jesus Christ, and presenting the truth in love. We will live by Your higher standard; doing what is right and just to bring hope and freedom to all people. We will not judge nor will we give favoritism or criticism based on outward appearances. We will love our neighbors as ourselves.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal how you can be a blessing to the poor in your community:

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, as the Body of Christ, show us how to live with the Father’s global purpose in mind and not just for ourselves. Open our eyes and ears to opportunities to be used by God to bring divine intervention to someone else’s situation. Bring us closer together in unity and brotherly love. Help us to remain consistent in prayer and intercession for people who are impoverished physically, mentally and spiritually. Give us pure hearts to serve and to love unconditionally. Teach us how to use our influence to bring about justice for those who are disenfranchised and demoralized by the oppression of lack. Holy Spirit, please give our local, state and national leaders wisdom and divine strategies to solve the socio-economic disparities in our city, state and nation.

Forgiving Father, please forgive us for thinking and living selfishly, for putting our desires before the needs of others. Forgive us for taking Your commandments lightly and causing others to suffer lack because of our greed. Forgive us, as the Body of Christ, for being passive about our position in the world as salt and light. Forgive us for unfairly judging others because of their appearances or conditions without knowing their stories. As a nation, forgive us for lusting after wealth and affluence, and for doing less than our best to extend ourselves to help other nations in need. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

We exalt You, Lord! You are the blessed and only almighty God. You are King of all kings and Lord of all lords. You alone can never die. You live in light so brilliant that no human can approach You. All honor and power are Yours forever! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer about Materialism

Scripture Reading: I Chronicles 16, Matthew 6:19-34

Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our source and supply. Thank You for meeting all of our needs from Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Thank You for being our Shepherd so we will not want for anything. We will exalt You and praise Your Name forever and ever. Lord, You are great and most worthy of praise! No one can measure Your greatness. You always keep Your promises, and You are gracious in all that You do. Father, You help the fallen and lift up those who are bent beneath their loads. We look to You in hope, and You give us our food as we need it. When You open Your hand, You satisfy the hunger and the thirst of every living thing.

Faithful Father, we confess that we will store our treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust can destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. We agree with Your Word that our lives are not measured by how much we own; therefore, we will beware of and resist covetousness. Father, we cannot serve two masters, so by faith, we will not worry about everyday life. We know that life is more than food and our bodies are more than clothing. Therefore, we will seek Your Kingdom above all else and live righteously, knowing that You will give us everything we need. Lord, we confess that we will not trust in uncertain riches, but we will trust in You, the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. We will use our money to do good and be generous to those in need, ready to share with others. By doing so, we will store up our treasures as a good foundation for the future so that we experience true life.

Holy Spirit, show me where materialism is in my life.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, please help us to be Godly and wise consumers. Please break the bondage of conspicuous consumption within our nation. Help us to be better stewards of the resources with which we are blessed. Rewire our thinking as it pertains to saving, investing and spending. Help us to be more disciplined with our lifestyles. Enlighten our hearts to Your wisdom and self-control so that we can begin to build wealth for the next generation. Teach us how to be content with what we have instead of always wanting more. Give guidance and favor to those who are in financial trouble.

Merciful Father, forgive us for all acts of sinfulness including, greed, selfish ambition, idolatry, conceit and arrogance. Forgive us for loving things and placing them over You and for not being good stewards of Your blessings. We repent for bowing to the gods of materialism. Holy Spirit, remind us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them to you say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, the Almighty; the One who is and who always was. You have assumed Your great power and have begun to reign. Lord God Almighty, Your works are great and marvelous. Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations. Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your Name? You alone are holy. All the nations will come and worship before You; for Your righteous deeds have been revealed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Persons Looking for Employment

A Prayer for Persons Looking for Employment

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 48, Psalm 1

Reflections of the Heart:

Sometimes, things happen in life that are beyond our control.  It is during these trying times that we can rejoice in the knowledge that our God will never leave us nor forsake us.  Our relationship with Him allows us to walk through life’s challenges knowing that through the blood of Christ, we are overcomers.  Therefore, cast your cares upon Him for He truly does care for you.

Scriptural Prayer:

Awesome Father, holy and righteous is Your Name.  You are a great God, and a great King above all other gods.  You are our God; and we are the people of our pasture, and the flock under Your care.  Lord, You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth.  You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider.  You are our strength and shield, and we will trust in You.  You help us and our hearts are filled with joy.  We burst out in songs of thanksgiving.  Thank You for providing employment for us, Your children.  Thank You for sustaining those who are in need of a financial breakthrough.  Thank You for helping them daily.  Thank You, Father, for being our source and our supply.

Holy Father, it is Your will that Your children live healthy, productive, happy, and balanced lives. We confess that as those people who are seeking employment place their trust in You and do good; they will live safely in the land and prosper.  We confess that they will never let loyalty and kindness leave them.  They will tie them around their necks as a reminder; and write them deep within their hearts.  Then they will find favor with both You and men, and they will earn a good reputation.  Lord, we declare that they will trust in You with all their hearts; and not depend on their own understanding.  They will seek Your will in all that they do, and we believe that You will show them which path to take.  In Jesus’ Name, we command the doors of employment to open for our unemployed.  We declare that when they receive employment, they will work as if You are their direct supervisor.  They will not talk back or steal, but will show themselves to be entirely trustworthy and good. They will respect authority, walk in integrity and complete a full day’s work for a full day’s pay.  We decree that those people who are looking for employment will rest in Your presence and wait patiently for You to act.  As they do this, they will not worry about food and clothing, for if You clothe the grass of the field, how much more will You provide for them.

If you know someone who is unemployed or who wants new employment, write down their names and insert their names into this prayer:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Righteous Father, help those who are unemployed to prepare for their new job.  Send people who will consult with them about how to prepare a resume and how to dress and prepare for an interview.  Please provide jobs, education, and promotions for them.  Remind them that because they trust in You, they will not lack any good thing.  Holy Spirit, please help them to not grow discouraged or frustrated, but help them to continue to remain hopeful and expect their breakthrough to come forth.  Father, some need a miracle right now.  Please help them.  Holy Spirit, for those who have a poor work ethic, help them to improve.   Erase any negative perception caused by past work experiences.  Holy Spirit, help stretch their income until employment is found.

Merciful Father, forgive those people who demonstrate a poor work ethic.  Forgive them for not being on time, leaving early, and wasting time.  Forgive those who have not paid their tithes and offerings (consistently), or spent their money unnecessarily.  Forgive those for misusing company property.  Forgive those who have operated in arrogance, greed, lust, pride, arrogance, and rebellion.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind those people who are seeking employment to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help them not to yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations.  Who can be compared to You?  Who is Your equal?  Lord, You are high above all nations.  Your glory is above the heavens.  Yours is the Kingdom, power, and glory forever.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
