November 8: A Presidential Election Day Prayer

Note:  Please pray in your prayer language (pray in tongues) for today’s prayer topic.  If you do not pray in tongues, then pray the following prayer out loud.

Scriptural Prayer:

Blessed Father, we thank You for our nation, the United States of America. Thank You for the privilege of our democratic form of government. Thank You for leading and guiding us as we elect our President, Vice President, and local, state, and national leaders. Lord, Your instructions are perfect, reviving our souls. Your decrees are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Your commandments are right, bringing joy to our hearts. Your commands are clear and they give us insight for living. We praise You for Your great wisdom. You deserve all glory, honor, and praise forever!

Everlasting Father, Your Word says that when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Therefore, as we vote in the election on today, we are trusting You to lead us in making these critical decisions. As we consider our voting options, we will not depend on our own understanding. We are seeking Your will, our Lord, and we believe that You will show us which path to take. Today, we will not be distracted by rhetoric, popular opinion, or sound bites.  Using the authority given to us, we call forth Your Kingdom to come and Your divine will be done in the elections today.  We confess that the hearts of American voters will be guided by the power of the Holy Spirit, as they vote today.  We command peace, be still at every voting poll in the United States. We decree that today’s elections will be conducted in fairness and integrity.  In Jesus’ Name, we crush the demonic devices that would stir up strife, confusion, cynicism, and hopelessness among American voters. We command the airwaves to bow to the voice of God. We decree that every attempt to misconstrue the Truth will be confused, in Jesus’ Name.  We command the weather to be peaceful today, with a perfect balance of sunshine and moderate temperatures.

Holy Spirit, all of us have a presidential preference, however, we ask You to establish Your plans in our country. Expose all lies and deceptive tactics.  Position Your angels to watch and guard each polling place. Help all of us to take our responsibility to vote seriously.  Remind us all to conduct ourselves with grace and dignity at the polls so that we do not wrongly influence anyone or chide anyone based on perception.  May we be models of excellent citizenship at all times. For those citizens who are conflicted in their hearts about whether or not they should vote at all, clarify for them the purpose of their vote and lead them to the polls to vote.

Holy Spirit, today I will vote for the following candidates.  Please let me know if my will aligns with Yours:

Wonderful Father, forgive us for not trusting You to lead our country.  Forgive those leaders who have plotted to derail the democratic process for personal gain. Forgive those who continually abuse their power and influence. Forgive those American citizens who refuse to exercise their right to vote. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Glorious Lord, the earth is Yours and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to You. Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of Glory enter. Who is the King of glory? The Lord of Heaven’s Armies – He is the King of glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

September 1: A Prayer for Salvation

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation. Thank You for desiring fellowship with us.  Thank You, Lord Jesus, for atoning for the sins of the entire world. Holy Spirit, we thank You for empowering us to be effective witnesses here on earth.  Lord, You are great and deserving of praise. All the nations of the world will recognize You as Lord. You are glorious and strong.  We come to give You the glory You deserve.  We worship You in all Your holy splendor and the earth trembles before You.  We proclaim to all the world, the Lord reigns!  The heavens proclaim Your righteousness and every nation sees Your glory.

Righteous Father, You loved the world so much that You gave Your one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.  You did not send Jesus into the world to judge it, but to save the world through Him.  Father, we declare that Your Word will move swiftly through the earth and save the lost.  Lord, You are not slow concerning Your promises as some people think, but You are patient for humanity’s sake, not willing that any should perish, but all should come to repentance.  We are Your masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things You planned for us long ago.  We declare, by faith, that (say aloud the names of nonbelievers) will confess with their mouths, the Lord Jesus, and believe in their hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and we expect that they will be saved.  Father, we decree that they will know the truth, and the truth will set them free.

Glorious Father, we know that the unsaved cannot come to You unless they are drawn, so we ask that You would circumcise the hearts of every man, woman, boy, and girl and draw them. During these perilous times, we specifically make intercession on behalf of all world leaders and those around the world who do not acknowledge Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Lord, surround them with the counsel of the Godly so that they may be washed in the water of Your Word − putting away the old nature and putting on the new.  Father, we ask You to save the unsaved.  Remove the darkness in their hearts so they may see Your light.

Holy Spirit, show me those people who are in my circle of influence that I can share the Good News with:

Redeeming Father, forgive the unsaved for not acknowledging You or Your Son. Forgive them for disobedience, hatred, rebellion, murder, idolatry, homosexuality, greed, racism, adultery, fornication, injustice, violence, and rejection of Your Gospel.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy, holy, holy, are You, the Lord God Almighty. You are worthy, to receive glory, honor and power. To You the blessed, and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; to You be honor and everlasting power.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

August 27: A Declaration for the Weather

Almighty Father, we thank You for being so loving and caring. Thank You for the Earth and all of its bountiful land. Thank You for the recent rain that we have received.  Thank You for the authority You have given us in the Name of Jesus to speak to weather conditions.  We praise You Lord, for You have heard our cry for mercy. You are our strength and shield. We will trust You with all our hearts. You help us and our hearts are filled with joy. We are bursting with songs of thanksgiving!

Today, using the power and authority Jesus Christ has given you, go outside and speak to the weather as you continue praying this prayer:

_________________________________________________________________________

Eternal Father, the earth and all its natural wonders are in You hands. You are the Creator and source of all life, and we trust You to stabilize our weather conditions. Lord, Your Word tells us that “he who believes in Me, the works I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to the Father.” So we speak to the weather conditions that are causing distress and disaster, and command them to go, in Jesus’ Name!  We command the heavens to release an abundance of rain in all the counties that have received lower than expected rainfall levels. We declare that our soil will be enriched with moisture, producing nutrient food for our livestock to feed upon and for crops to increase in growth.  We decree that all hurricane-producing elements  are rendered inactive during this season. We decree that tropical storms, floods, storm surges, tornadoes, wildfires, or any other destructive weather conditions will not ravage our lands. We expect peace to rule over our atmosphere.

Holy Spirit, please  help all  families through any hardship they have endured due to severe weather conditions. Give them favor with our state legislators so that they can receive the help they need. Help them to increase in faith and in wisdom. Help us, as children of God, to be faithful in praying for the weather. Let us always trust in the Lord’s promise to do anything we ask for in His Name.

Faithful Father, forgive our l acts of sinfulness that have caused us to reap destructive weather conditions. Forgive us for reacting to weather challenges with fear and unbelief. Forgive us for being irresponsible and unfaithful with our environment. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Worthy Father, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may You be praised forever and ever! Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

August 20: A Prayer of Blessings for Our Church Family

Faithful Father, we thank You for the Pastors and members in our Church Family.  Thank You, Lord, for Your blessings upon our church, homes, and jobs.  Thank You for Your amazing presence in our lives, both corporately and individually.  Father, may Your glorious Name be praised!  We exalt Your Name above all blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord; You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars.  You made the earth and the seas and everything in them.  You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship You.  We will give to You, Lord, the glory You deserve.  We will bring our offering as we come into Your presence.  We will worship You in all of Your holy splendor.

Exalted Father, let it be unto us according to Your Word.  As a Church Family, we confess that as we come close to You, You will come close to us.  We expect that all Your blessings will come upon us and overtake us because we are committed to obeying Your voice.  We confess that our towns and our fields are blessed.  Our children and the works of our hands are blessed.  Wherever we go and whatever we do, we are blessed.  We are refreshed by the autumn rains as well as the rains of spring.  Lord, we decree in our lives that which was lost is restored and we will eat plenty and be satisfied. According to Your Word, we will feed on the treasures of the nations and boast in their riches.  Instead of shame and dishonor, we will possess a double portion of honor.  We will possess a double portion of prosperity in the land and everlasting joy will be ours.  Lord, we always expect You to pour out Your Spirit upon us and show wonders in the heavens and on the earth. We declare that our marriages are blessed and holy, our families are whole and vibrant, and our bodies are healthy and strong.

What areas of your life appear to be lacking?  Find God’s promises concerning those issues and declare them over your situations:

Holy Spirit, as blessings begin to overtake us, remind us to be a blessing to others.  Flood our hearts with light so that we can understand the confident hope that the Father has given us, His holy people, who are His rich and glorious inheritance. Help us to continue to grow spiritually as a Church Family.  Remind us to always be thankful to God, our Father, and Jesus, our Brother.  Help us understand that it is God who gives us the power to be successful so that the covenant He made with our ancestors will be confirmed.  Lord, please help us to be faithful to the vision of our church and the steadfastness of Your Word.

Generous Father, please forgive us for the sins of disobedience, hypocrisy, selfish-ambitions, pride, gossip, and perversion.  Forgive us where we have misappropriated Your blessings in the past.  Forgive us for not studying Your Word like we should and neglecting our prayer life. Forgive us for depending on our own strength and intellect instead of Your supernatural power and authority.  Forgive us for not operating in the fruit and gifts of Your Spirit.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, as a Church Family, help us to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Triumphant Lord, You are our stronghold.  The heavens declare Your glory and the skies display Your craftsmanship.  You are the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth.  Lord, You are worthy to receive glory, honor, and power.  You created all things and they exist because You created what You pleased.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

We confess that foreclosures will not plague our community and every homeowner will be able to successfully maintain their property.

I confess the following promises of God upon (list the name of your community):

Holy Spirit, we ask You to touch the hearts of those persons who live in (list the name of your community) and draw them to the Father so that they will confess Jesus Christ and receive Him as their Savior and Lord.  Lord, please build a hedge of protection around our community that cannot be penetrated.  Help the residents to walk in love and unity towards one another. Remind each resident to be concerned for the safety and protection of their neighbors.  Let Your Spirit of love permeate our community.  Holy Spirit, unify our community and help the residents to stand up for what is right. Help us to speak against violence, crime, and injustice.  Holy Spirit, help those residents who are struggling financially, emotionally, relationally or physically.

Merciful Father, forgive the families of (list the name of your community) for any acts of sinfulness, including theft, strife, discord, jealousy, rivalries, violence, injustice, hatred, oppression, greed, idolatry, pride, slander, sexual immorality, lewd behaviors, selfish ambition, abuse of any type, drunkenness, wild parties, division, and other sins like these.  Forgive those people in our community who do not trust in You.  Forgive those residents who are Christians for not sharing Your Gospel with neighbors.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind the residents of our community of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Awesome Father, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Eternal Lord, You are the blessed and Sovereign One; the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man can see.  Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

June 16: A Declaration of Kingdom Fellowship

Abba Father, we thank You for righteous fellowship among the believers in our church and beyond.  We thank You for ordering our steps in Your Word. Thank You for the events, activities and programs within the Body of Christ that help to create fellowship. We are grateful for our fellowship and communion which we have with You, our Father; Jesus, our Savior; and the Holy Spirit, our Sustainer. We thank You with all of our hearts as we meet with Your Godly people. Lord, You are an awesome God. Your deeds are so amazing; all who delight in You should ponder them. Everything You do reveals Your glory and majesty. Your righteousness never fails.  You are wonderful and Your Name is highly exalted. You are worthy of all our praise. You are worthy of the glory, honor and power.  Lord, the heavens declare Your glory and the skies display Your craftsmanship.

Mighty Father, Your will is for us to dwell together in unity. As the Body of Christ, we declare that we will motivate one another to acts of love and good works. We will not neglect our meeting together; but we will encourage one another in the faith. We will not get tired of doing what is good for each other.  As a result, we expect to reap a harvest of blessing at the right time.  We will not give up, and at every opportunity, we will do good to everyone—especially to those in our family of faith.  Iron sharpens iron so we will surround ourselves with those who have like minds so that we are positioned to glorify You in our public and private lives.  We will engage in righteous fellowship and forsake all that will deter us from fulfilling Your will. We will be doers of Your Word and not hearers only.  We will fight for righteous fellowship and we will win.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You align our relationships with Your will in our homes, church, jobs and communities.  Show each of us how to organize our calendars and schedules so that Godly fellowship is more of a priority. Send Godly friends to those who are lonely. As the Body of Christ, please knit our hearts closer together.  Lord, help us to be obedient as You order our steps.  Give us the power to crucify our flesh and walk in Your light. As we yield to the power of the Holy Spirit, help us to drop our gossip buddies, smoking buddies, promiscuous buddies, club-hopping buddies and anyone who the devil may use to keep us from glorifying God through our fellowship with the righteous.  Help us to let our light so shine before people that they may see our good works and glorify You, our Heavenly Father.

Holy Spirit, show me how to strengthen the God-ordained relationships in my life.  Show me those relationships that I need to end and give me the strength to end them:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Merciful Father, forgive us for our sins. Forgive those for the unrighteous relationships that keep them from Your best for their lives. Forgive those for disobedience when You have told them to end certain relationships and they refuse to do so. Forgive all of us for putting our work in front of family and friends.  Forgive us for having fellowship or relationship with anything that is not of You.  Forgive us for the doors that we may have opened without knowing it from our childhood or adult experiences.  Help us to know that there is no condemnation to those of us who are in Christ and that as we confess our sins, we are forgiven and that You remember them no more.

Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed)Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive _____________________name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, You are to be praised forever and ever.  Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, power, glory, victory, and the majesty.  Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours.  This is Your Kingdom, Lord, and You are over all things.  Wealth and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

November 29: A Prayer of Healing for People Diagnosed with Cancer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for watching over those persons who have been diagnosed with cancer.  Thank You for Your healing power. Thank You, Lord, for declaring us over-comers by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. Lord, we proclaim Your righteousness and praise all the day long. Your faithful love endures forever and Your mercies never cease.  Great is Your faithfulness.  Who can compare to You?  We exalt Your Holy and Righteous Name.  You are the Holy One of Israel who sent Jesus, our Lord and Savior, to redeem all humankind from the curse of the law of sin and death.

Awesome Father, Your thoughts towards us are of peace and not evil, to give us a future and a hope.  We believe that it is Your will that we live free from all diseases.  Lord, by the authority given to us, we declare that the infirmity of cancer with its many forms and common types – bladder, breast, colon and rectal, endometrial, leukemia, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, prostate, skin, thyroid and other types – are destroyed, in Jesus’ Name.  We command the primary abnormally deformed cell to die at its root and the metastasizing cells to cease from spreading throughout the body, especially to the lungs, bones, liver, brain and lymphatic system. We command the increased production of healthy cells to destroy renegade cells.  Lord, as a Church Family, we declare that our members who have been diagnosed with cancer will not die; but live to tell what You have done.  Lord, as a king of the King and a lord of the Lord, I command the Kingdom domain of healing to manifest in the body of (name the person(s) who need healing from cancer). I declare that supernatural healing is flowing throughout his/her body, in Jesus Name.

List the names of persons who are battling with cancer.  Now, declare this word over their lives today and encourage them to trust the Lord.  Give them a copy of the healing Scriptures and encourage them to pray them.  Healing Scriptures can be downloaded from http://myprayerinstitute.wordpress.com

Holy Spirit, please reveal the cure for cancer.  We ask You to increase the wisdom and knowledge of medical researchers as they perform cancer studies.  We ask You to strengthen those persons who are being treated for cancer.  Increase their endurance and patience as they undergo x-rays, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biological therapy, hormone therapy, surgery, cryosurgery and other procedures.  Holy Spirit, comfort and strengthen their family members.  Help their family members to walk in love, peace, patience and faith.  Please protect those who have not been touched by cancer.  Destroy any triggers that would create cancerous cells in our bodies.  Lord, help us to break poor eating and sleeping habits. Remind us to exercise, eat healthy and get enough sleep.  Touch our society to promote healthy lifestyle practices.

Loving Father, we ask You to forgive the sins of those diagnosed with cancer. November 27: A Prayer for Recovery in South Carolina

Our Father, we thank You for extending Your grace and mercy to the citizens of South Carolina. Thank You for helping them to recover. Thank You for pouring out Your spirit of love, compassion, benevolence and generosity towards them.  Lord, You are great and Your Name is great in might. Your eternal Word stands firm in heaven. Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth You created.  Today, we bow down and worship You.  We kneel before You and acknowledge You as our Lord and maker. You are our God and we are the people that You watch over and have taken under Your care.

Almighty Father, You have instructed us to share each other’s burdens. So, we cry out to You for the citizens in South Carolina as they are trying to put their lives together following the devastating storms and massive flooding.  We decree that the recovery process will be done in decency and order.  We command justice to run down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream for the families and communities affected by the storm and massive flooding.  By faith, we decree that they will commit their rebuilding plans to You so that their plans are successful. They will trust in You and not depend on their own understanding.  They will seek Your will in all that they do so that You can show them which path to take.  We declare that favor surrounds the residents of South Carolina like a shield as they file insurance claims and start to rebuild.  We command peace, be still in South Carolina!

Holy Spirit, please unify the residents in South Carolina as they move forward with the recovery process. Heal them physically, emotionally, and psychologically and restore them as they rebuild their lives. As the communities continue with the rebuilding process, help them to write Your vision for their lives plainly on tablets so that they may be able to run forward and implement it.  Convict the heart of any business, agency or individual who would attempt to take advantage of the residents for profit or gain. Please send people who will love, support, and comfort them during their time of recovery.

Righteous Father, forgive all of us for any acts of sinfulness that we have committed by thought, word or deed. Forgive us as a nation for not acknowledging You until a tragedy such as this happens.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, help us all to forgive others.

Holy Spirit, help the citizens of South Carolina to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Redeeming King, You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  You are the One who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One. You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power.  You created all things, and they exist because You created what You pleased.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Students Taking Final Exams

Majestic Father, we thank You for our students who are preparing for Final Exams. Thank You for crowning
each of them with wisdom and honor. Thank You for the educators who have a genuine interest in seeing our
children and youth succeed. O God, You are our God; we earnestly search for You. Our souls thirst for You;
our bodies long for You in this parched and weary land where there is no water. We have seen You in Your
sanctuary and gazed upon Your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how we praise
You! We will praise You as long as we live. We will lift up our hands to You in prayer. You satisfy us more
than the richest feast. With songs of joy will we praise You.

Royal Father, we confess that our students are well versed in every area of learning; gifted with knowledge and
good judgment. We declare that just as You anointed Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego with an
unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom, that You will anoint our students to
excel in their academics and to conquer their Final Exams. We decree that our students understand the value
of knowledge; they understand that wisdom is more profitable than silver and her wages are better than gold.
We confess that they will not be anxious about these tests, but they will pray and tell You what they need. They
will thank You for all that You have done for them; then they will experience Your peace which exceeds
anything they can understand. We declare that our students can do everything through Christ, including
excelling on these Final Exams, because You give them strength. We expect that as they study and apply
themselves to their academics, that Holy Spirit, You will bring all things to their remembrance when they sit
down to begin their Final Exams. We decree that our students are the head and not the tail; they will always
be on top and will never be at the bottom academically.

Holy Spirit, please help our students to hunger and thirst after knowledge. Help them to shed every false label,
expectation and preconceived notion that society has placed upon them. Help them to see themselves as more
than conquerors in every aspect of their lives. Holy Spirit, please help our parents and guardians to understand
how important it is for them to have an active role in their child’s education. Show them how to partner with
their student’s teachers to encourage and help their child to learn. Lead and guide our students to scholarship
and grant opportunities to help pay for their educational expenses. Please open new revenue streams for
those parents who are sending their children to college.

Loving Father, forgive the sins of our educators and students. Forgive us, as parents and guardians, for being
negligent in teaching our students to first reverence You which is the beginning of wisdom. Forgive those of us
for sacrificing our students to excessive television, video games, music and to the ways and customs of the
world. Forgive those for devaluing the worth of teachers and education. Forgive us all for not being more
insistent on quality education in our school systems. Holy Spirit, remind our students of those they need to
forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Glorious Father, help our students to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Awesome Lord, Your right hand is glorious in power. Your right hand smashes the enemy. In the greatness of

like straw. Who is like You among the gods, glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great
wonders? You are God alone! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
