July 9: A Prayer for the Young Adults

Marvelous Father, we thank You for the young adults in the Body of Christ. Thank You for the bright and prosperous future that You have for each of them. Thank You for the blood of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ, that brought us all near to You. Great is Your faithfulness. Your mercies are fresh every morning. We praise Your great and awesome Name. Your Name is holy! It is because of Your faithfulness that our young adults are kept strong in You and the power of Your might.

Faithful Father, we declare that the young adults in the Body of Christ are confident they have been raised from the dead along with Christ, and they are seated in the heavenly realms because they are united with Him.  They are new people. Their old lives are gone, and a new life has begun!  Lord, it is Your will that they be joyful always, ceaseless in prayer, and thankful in all circumstances. In Jesus’ Name, we declare that they are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. They do only those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.  We declare that wisdom will enter their hearts, and knowledge will fill them with joy. Wise choices will watch over them and understanding will keep them safe.   We decree that they are living wisely and making the most of every opportunity.

Holy Spirit, help our young adults to strip off every weight that slows them down; especially the sins that so easily trips them up. Teach them to run with endurance the race God has set before them. Search them, O God, and know their hearts. Test them and know their anxious thoughts. Point out anything in them that offends You, and lead them along the path of everlasting life. Help them to daily trust in the Lord with all of their hearts and not lean to their own understanding, to seek His will in all that they do so that He can show them which path to take.  Show them how to make divine connections with others who will hold them accountable and help keep them focused and pressing toward the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling them.  Lord, show them the place and position that You have ordained for them in Your Kingdom.  Help us as the Body of Christ to embrace and empower our young adults to stand strong in their Kingdom faith.

Father, I commit to encouraging and praying for the following young adults:

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Compassionate Father, forgive our young adults collectively and individually for the sinful acts that they have committed against You, including: idolatry, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, homosexuality, selfish ambitions, fornication, envy, drunkenness, division and disobedience. Forgive them for times when they have lost sight of who they are in Christ Jesus.  Forgive us as the Body of Christ where we have not acknowledged or embraced our young adults.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind our young adults of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help our young adults not to yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Almighty God, You alone are God. You are the First and the Last. It was Your hand that laid the foundations of the earth; Your right hand that spread out the heavens above. When You call out the stars, they all appear in order. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your Kingdom.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

April 24: A Declaration of Kingdom Financial Giving

Honorable Father, we thank You for the Spring Feasts. Thank You for this special time to commune with You.  Thank You for providing for our families so that we can bring an offering back to You.  Lord, the heavens proclaim Your glory and the skies display Your craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Your presence known.  We praise You, our Rock.  Be exalted, the God of our salvation!   We will praise You among the nations and sing praises to Your Name!  Because of You, Lord, we are filled with laughter, and we sing for joy.  Others have said what amazing things the Lord has done for them.  Yes, You, Lord, have done amazing things for our Church Family!   What joy we have experienced with You!

Loving Father, You have set the appointed times for us to celebrate and worship You in the spring.  As a part of the celebration, Your Word instructs us to bring offerings as a sign of our love and devotion to You.  As a Church Family, we will obey Your Word and we look forward to giving of our best.  We will give with cheerful hearts to You during the Spring Feasts.  As we give, we trust that according to Your Word, You will generously provide all that we need.  Then, we will always have everything we need and have plenty left over to share with others.  We confess that we will trust You with our finances and will give as we are led by the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit, my Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits offerings will be:

Holy Spirit, please help us to yield our hearts to You as You lead and direct us in our giving during the Spring Feasts.  Help us to be willing and generous in our giving and not hesitant or stingy.  Lord, You said that if we honored Your feasts, You would increase our harvest.  Father, touch the financial seeds that we have planted and cause them to grow. Bless us with increase so that we will have a tremendous offering to give to You during this special time.  Increase our faith to trust You for unseen and miraculous financial blessings.  For those in need of financial resurrection, bless their finances.  Father, bless those who do not have anything to give with a miraculous offering.  Help our Church Family to honor You with disciplined financial stewardship.    Father, show us Your glory as we give our offerings during the Spring Feasts and please accept them as a sign of our love and devotion to You.

Loving Father, forgive us when we have not brought our tithes and offerings to You.  Forgive our hesitancy when we are asked to give to You.  Forgive those who have created financial situations in their lives that are so desperately in need of repair that they are not positioned to give freely during the feasts.  Forgive all of us for any selfishness or greed.  Remind us of those that we owe so that we may repay our debts.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord God, the Almighty, You are the one who is and who always was.  You have assumed Your great power and have begun to reign.  All glory belongs to You, who alone is God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord.  All glory, majesty, power, and authority are Yours before all time, in the present, and beyond all time!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

March 20: A Prayer of Preparation for the Spring Feasts

Amazing Father, we thank You for preparing us for the Spring Feasts.  Thank You for Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Firstfruits and Pentecost.  Thank You for drawing us into a more intimate relationship with You through these feasts.  We will sing songs of joy to You.  We will sing a new song of praise to You and play skillfully on the harp.  Your Word, Lord, holds true and we can trust everything that You do.  You love whatever is just and good; Your unfailing love fills the earth.  We put our hope in You, Lord.  You are our help and our shield.  In You do our hearts rejoice, for we trust in Your holy Name.  Let Your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in You alone.

Holy Father, You loved the world so much that You gave Your only begotten Son as Redeemer, sacrificed on the altar of the cross, freeing all believers from slavery to sin.  As we come together during the springtime of the year, we will prepare ourselves to meet with You to celebrate the Passover, the Festival of Unleavened Bread and the Celebration of the Firstfruits. We will examine ourselves and confess our sins to You, that we may be forgiven. In our homes, we and our families vow to serve You alone. We will carefully examine our homes, just as we examine ourselves, to be certain that there is no unclean thing that would separate us from Your presence. As You have decreed, we will remove all yeast from our homes as we prepare to celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread.  At the same time, we will remove all wickedness from our hearts so that we can come before You with clean hands.

List  the things you need to do in preparation for the Spring Feasts:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, as we study God’s Word, instruct us in preparing for the Spring Feasts. Bring to our remembrance areas in our lives that need to be transformed in order to be cleansed of sin or idolatry. Help us to develop a greater appreciation for the blessings the Father has given us.  Father, bless our families and enlarge our territories so that we may have even more to bring back into Your Kingdom. Help us to share this wonderful time with our friends and family members and use it as a tool to witness Your love and salvation to the lost.

Redeeming Father, forgive us corporately and individually for our sins. Forgive us for holding on to our old ways and for being reluctant to follow Your precepts which are new to us. Forgive those who choose not to celebrate Your festivals or those who are unable or unwilling to bring offerings to You.  Forgive us for being timid and afraid to share the information about Your festivals with our friends, family members and co-workers.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Almighty King, You created the heavens and stretched them out.  You created the earth and everything in it.  You give breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth.  You alone are the Lord!  You will not give Your glory to anyone else, nor will You share Your praise with carved idols.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

March 8: A Prayer for a Disciplined Lifestyle

Loving Father, we thank You for Jesus. Thank You for working in us; giving us the desire and the power to do what please You. We give You thanks, O Lord, with all our hearts. We will sing Your praises. We bow before Your holy Temple as we worship. We praise Your Name for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, for Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your Name. As soon as we pray, You answer us. You encourage us by giving us strength.

Divine Father, apart from Jesus, the True Vine, we can do nothing. We realize that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.  We do not belong to ourselves for You bought us with a high price, so we must honor You with our bodies. As true disciples of Jesus Christ, we will remain faithful to His teachings. We know the truth, and the truth as set us free. We will remain strong and immovable. We understand the impact of our influence on others, therefore we make a decision today to live in such a way that will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. Father, we declare that we listen to Your voice. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we take authority over our minds, wills, and emotions because we are surrounded by a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith. Therefore, we strip off every weight that slows us down; especially the sin that easily trips us up. And we declare that we will run with endurance the race that You have set before us. We will do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the Champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

Holy Spirit, remind us that the Father has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. We ask You to guide our lives so that we won’t do what our sinful nature craves. Give us desires that are opposite of what our sinful nature desires so that we can remain faithful to the calling of God on our lives. Show us how to develop an ear to hear You when You speak the Father’s will to us and help us to be quick to obey. Whenever we are in danger of backsliding into our old ways, please help us to remember that we are the salt and light to this world.

Holy Spirit, today I will commit to developing greater spiritual discipline by doing the following (write down the Holy Spirit’s instructions to you):

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Precious Father, forgive us of our sins. Forgive us for neglecting and rejecting spiritual discipline in our personal lives. Forgive us for straying away and leaving Your righteousness to follow our own sinfulness. Forgive us for being foolish and prideful. Forgive us for failing to hide Your Word in our hearts on a regular basis to safeguard ourselves from sinning against You. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

God, You are honored in Judah. Your Name is great in Israel. Jerusalem is where You live and Mount Zion is Your home. Salvation comes from You, the God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to You forever and ever!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

February 4: A Prayer for the Ministries of The Body of Christ

Blessed Father, we thank You for the ministries of The Body of Christ. Thank You for each ministry member who serves Your people and Your Kingdom. Thank You for using the ministries of The Body of Christ to bless and improve the lives of The Body of Christ as well as the community.  Lord, we praise Your great and awesome Name!  Your Name is holy.  Mighty King, You love justice and have established fairness.  You have acted with justice and righteousness throughout Israel.  We exalt You, our God.  We bow low before Your feet, for You alone are holy!

Awesome Father, we know that there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.  There are diversities of activities, but it is You, God, who works all in all.  We confess that the ministries of The Body of Christ operate as one.  Having gifts differing according to the grace that has been given to them, we confess that our ministries will use these gifts to serve You and are kindly affectionate to one another in brotherly love.  They will be of the same mind towards one another.  Lord, we declare that the members who serve in ministry will not grow weary while doing well.  They will indeed reap a reward as they do not faint.  We confess that they will commit their ministry plans to You, Lord, and trust that You will cause them to succeed.  We declare that each ministry in The Body of Christ reflect the love, hope, peace, faith and discipline of the Kingdom.

Holy Spirit, please continue to unify the ministries of The Body of Christ so that they operate seamlessly and as a well oiled machine. Please anoint the ministry leaders with fresh ideas and creative ways to do ministry.  Show them how to expand to impact more lives in the community for the Kingdom. Please bless the families, homes and jobs of each ministry worker. Teach them how to live balanced and healthy lives.  Holy Spirit, please touch the hearts of more of The Body of Christ members to become actively involved in a ministry.

Today, I will pray for the following Body of Christ ministries:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Magnificent Father, please forgive those ministry members for disobedience, selfish-ambitions, pride, gossip, perversion and any act of sinfulness.  Forgive them for depending on their own strength and intellect, instead of Your supernatural power and authority.  Forgive those ministry leaders who do not consult You regarding the direction You have for their ministry.   Lord, forgive those members who are not using their gifts and talents in ministry.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.  (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person (s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help our ministry members to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Eternal King, the heavens declare Your glory and the skies proclaim the work of Your hands.  You are the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth.  Lord, You are worthy to receive glory, honor, and power.  You created all things and by Your will they exist and were created.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen

August 25: A Prayer for the Successful Implementation of the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the Prayer Institute. Thank You for the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference. Thank You for imparting Your wisdom, power, healing and deliverance in previous conferences. Thank You in advance for Your divine visitation at this year’s conference.  Glorious Lord, we give thanks to You, for You are good; Your faithful love endures forever.  Who can list Your glorious miracles?  Who can ever praise You enough?  We will continue to thank You, Lord, among all the people.  We will sing Your praises among the nations.  For Your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Almighty Father, we declare that the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference will be an extraordinary experience of powerful praise, spirit-filled teaching, and supernatural miracles and healing.  We confess that the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord will be upon each speaker, staff and volunteer team member.  They will bring good news to the poor, comfort the brokenhearted, proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.  Father, we declare that our volunteers will work hard so that they present themselves to You and receive Your approval; good workers who are not ashamed and who correctly explain the Word of truth.  It is our expectation that people from all denominations and cultures throughout the United States and the world will attend the conference when they hear the advertisements about Prayer Explosion.  Holy Father, we declare that the funding for the conference will come and there will be surplus.  We expect Your blessings to abound in the lives of all the people who will attend this glorious event. We commit all of the plans for the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference to You and thank You in advance for a successful conference.

Holy Spirit, show me what You want me to specifically pray for concerning the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference or Youth Prayer Explosion:

Loving Father, we ask You to save the lost through the conference.  Please draw the youth in our community to Youth Prayer Explosion.  Give them an ear to hear and the wisdom to implement what they will learn during this wonderful gathering.  Give Minister Ray Bady and Ms. Leona Ellis wisdom and discernment as they design the programming for the youth.  Encourage the parents to partner with Minister Bady and Ms. Ellis to ensure that our youth are learning and walking in their Kingdom identity.  Please fill each member of The Prayer Institute, the planning team and volunteers with the complete knowledge of Your will and give them spiritual wisdom, discernment, understanding, and patience. Increase Your creativity and innovation within them.  Strengthen each of them and keep them healthy. Father, please increase their stamina and perseverance to complete this divine assignment.

Forgiving Father, forgive each speaker, volunteer and staff person for their sins.  Forgive those who are so busy working that they fail to get into Your presence.  Forgive anyone who speaks contrary to this great conference. As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help everyone associated with the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Eternal Lord, righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. Fire spreads before You and burns up all Your foes. Your lightning flashes out across the world. The earth sees and trembles, and the mountains melt like wax before You, for You are the Lord of all the earth!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving for Jesus Christ (our Passover Lamb)

A Prayer of Thanksgiving for Jesus Christ (our Passover Lamb)

Scripture Reading:

Hebrews 1:1-12, Hebrews 9:11-28

Reflections of the Heart:

“Jesus (our Passover Lamb) has borne our grief and carried our sorrow.  He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities.  The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and it is with His stripes that we are healed.”  Isaiah 53:4-5

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we praise You, the Lord of hosts.  Lord, You are good and Your mercy endures forever. You are the Lord, our Righteousness.  We are grateful to You!  We thank You that all who choose eternal lifeare included in Your Church Family. We adore You as Abba Father, with all our hearts.  Thank You for being such a loving God.  Thank You for being our God and making us Your people. Thank You for being mindful of us and sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Deliverer and Liberator.

Jesus, You made us right in God’s sight through Your obedience to His plan of Your death on the cross, resurrection and ascension into heaven. We have the peace of God because of our faith in You. Lord Jesus, You have brought us into a plan of undeserved privilege and position with God, and we confidently and joyfully believe to see God’s glory. HALLEL YAH!  When we were utterly helpless in our sin nature, You came to earth at just the right time and died for us sinners. Most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who he thought did especially good deeds.  But, God showed His great love for us by sending You to die for us while we were still sinners.  Since we have been made right in God’s sight by Your blood, we believers in You, Lord, are saved from God’s condemnation.  Because of Your death, our friendship with God is restored.  Today, we can rejoice in our wonderful relationship with God because You have made us God’s heirs.  You became our sacrifice.  You endured pain, shame, and humiliation to purchase our right-standing with God.  Jesus, we love You.  Because of You, we are God’s righteousness.  Father God, Jesus and Your Word inspires us to be all that You have created us to be.

Who is Jesus Christ to you? What is your relationship like with Him?

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, inspire us to always remember that Jesus is our Godly Brother.  Remind us to love and appreciate Him. Remind us to confess our love for You, Holy Spirit, and our Heavenly Father, God, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We yield to be led and guided in our daily confession to share as witnesses the goodness of Christ with our families, friends, co-workers and enemies.  Most of all, Holy Spirit, remind us that we have a new nature in Christ. Remind us that our self-esteem, both spiritually and mentally, is centered solely in Jesus Christ.

Father, forgive us for not fully pursuing the knowledge of the sacrifice Christ made for our freedom.  Forgive us for taking communion without remembering Jesus’ death on our behalf.  Forgive us for our overt and covert acts of sin, including stubbornness, arrogance, selfishness, ungratefulness, pride and rebellion.  Holy  Spirit, inspire our Church Family members who have drifted back into old bondages and enslaved mentalities to know that God forgives those who come before Him out of a pure heart and ask for forgiveness.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Father, help us to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Eternal God, You are mighty and strong.  You are the One and Only Creator above all.  You are Jehovah Jireh, our God who provides! King above all kings!  Jesus, You are God’s Worthy Lamb, slain as God’s sacrifice for the sin of the world. You have all authority, power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and blessing in heaven and earth. Honor, glory and power belong to You, the One sitting at God’s right hand on the throne. You are the Lamb forever and ever. In Your mighty Name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

A Prayer of Honor to God (Father), Jesus Christ (Savior) and Holy Spirit (Sustainer)

A Prayer of Honor to God (Father), Jesus Christ (Savior) and Holy Spirit (Sustainer)

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 19, Joel 2:28-32

Reflections of the Heart:

This is the ______ day of the Omer.   We praise You, O Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us by Jesus Christ, our eternal Redeemer and Savior, and commanded us to count the Omer.  By faith, we wait with joyful hearts to celebrate the sending of Your Holy Spirit.

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You are the Creator of the Universe; by Your Word, You framed the world. Your Word declares Your Glory.   You are the only wise God who now speaks to us individually by Your Holy Spirit.  Lord, You set the boundaries for the ocean, the filtration system from the trees and the tear duct to moisten our eyes.  You are an awesome God. Your promises are still in effect. The seasons continue to change and the rainbow still adorns the sky.  You loved us before the foundation of the world was created. Thank You for redeeming and reconciling us back to You, through Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to sustain us on earth.  Triune Father, we honor You and thank You for Your wonderful plan of salvation.

Father, we stand in awe and amazement of You.  We join in with the heavenly hosts and cry out holy, holy, holy are You, the Lord God, the Almighty; the One who always was, who is and who is still to come.  As the deer longs for streams of water, we Your children long for You.  We proclaim that You are our God and we earnestly search for You.  We have seen You in Your sanctuary and have gazed upon Your power and glory.  We will praise You as long as we live.   We confess that we will keep Your statutes and teach them to our children all the days of their lives.  As we do this, we expect to have long life.  We confess that we will keep Your commandments, walk in Your ways and honor You.  Lord Jesus, we thank You for being our Advocate who pleads our case before the Father.  Thank You for being the sacrifice that atones for our sins and the sins of the whole world.  We say that we will show our love for You by keeping Your commandments.  As a Church Family, we will imitate You by living lives that are filled with love.  Holy Spirit, we welcome You into our public and private lives.  We rejoice in the knowledge that You are the seal of our salvation!  We declare as You empower us and work within us we will do the Father’s good will and pleasure.  We acknowledge that it is You, Holy Spirit, who sanctifies us and makes us holy through our belief in the truth.

Think about how your life has changed since you said “yes” to God.  Write down some of those changes and begin to praise God for the transformations that He is making in your life:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Father, please let Your ears be attentive to our prayer for we desire to honor Your Name.  Touch the hearts of those who do not fear You and cause them to love You with all their hearts, souls, and strength.  Remove their stony hearts and give them new hearts that are submissive to You.  Holy Spirit, cause us to hunger and thirst for Your righteousness so that we will be filled.  Teach us how to revere Your Holy Name in true holiness.  Fill us with comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of the Father’s will so that we may conduct our lives in a manner worthy of Christ.  Help us to walk in the spirit of humility and to think more of others than we do ourselves.

Father, forgive us for acts of sinfulness such as: pride, rebellion, disobedience, selfishness, hatred, stealing, lying, homosexuality, adultery, fornication, and idolatry.  Forgive those persons for worshipping You half-heartedly.  Forgive people who know You, as Savior, and have a form of godliness, but deny Your power.  Forgive those parents for not teaching their children to honor and fear You.  Lord, remind all of us of those persons we need to forgive; and please help us to forgive.

Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Blessed are You, the only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords.  You alone have immortality and dwell in the light, which no man can approach.  To You, O God, belongs honor and power everlasting.  To Jesus, who was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the Holy Spirit; seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and taken up in glory. To You, Jesus, the one whose Name is above every name, we bless You.  Holy Spirit, we exalt You as the One who comforts, teaches, guides and empowers.  You are righteous in all Your ways.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer of Love for God and Our Neighbor

A Prayer of Love for God and Our Neighbor

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 113, John 13:34-35

Reflections of the Heart:

The greatest gift given by God is love.  God is love and with His love we can love Him and our neighbor.  God loved us so much that He gave His only Son for our lives.  Love is patient and kind.  Love is not jealous, boastful, proud, or rude.  Love never fails.  As you pray today, think about your love for Christ and for your neighbor.  Does God have your whole heart?  Do you love others unconditionally?  Love never gives up, never loses faith, and is always hopeful.

Scriptural Prayer:

Our Father, today, we praise You with our whole heart.  We will tell of all Your marvelous works.  We will be glad and rejoice in You; we will sing praises to Your Name.  We cry out with a loud voice, “Thanks be to our God.”  As the heavens are high above the earth, so great is Your mercy toward those who fear You; as far as the east is from the west,  You have removed our transgressions from us.  Thank You for being our Father and calling us Your children.  Thank You for loving us unconditionally.  Thank You for creating us for Your good pleasure.

Father, You have asked us to continue to love one another, for love comes from You.  Anyone who loves is Your child and knows You.  Those who do not love do not know You, for You are love.  You have shown how much You loved us by sending Your one and only Son, Jesus, into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him.  This is real love – not that we loved You, but You loved us and sent Your Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.  Thank You, Jesus, for giving Your life for ours.  We were not worthy, yet, You made us worthy to love and know You.  Thank You!  Today, we confess that we will love You with all of our hearts, souls, strength and minds, and we will love our neighbor as we love ourselves.

Father, show me how to strengthen my relationship with You and (list the names of people who you need to strengthen your relationships with):

Holy Spirit, because God loves us so much, help us to love our neighbor.  We have never seen God, but if we love each other, we know that God will live in us and His love will be brought to full expression in us.  Holy Spirit, we do not want to grieve You by the way we live.  You are the One who has identified us as Your own, guaranteeing that we will be saved on the day of redemption.  In this season of reflection and repentance, help us to let go of any bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.  Instead, help us to be kind to all people, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven us.  Break any bondage(s) that is keeping us from loving and caring for people.  Help us as a Church Family to draw closer to God, our Father, and Jesus, our Lord, through loving each other.  Holy Spirit, heal broken relationships.

Holy Spirit, show me what is preventing Your love from shining through me toward others:

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Lord, forgive us for not loving and caring for all people.  Forgive us for not loving You with our whole hearts.  Forgive us for holding grudges and remembering old debts.  Forgive us for judging others before getting to know them.  Forgive us for being proud, impatient, stubborn, rebellious, or jealous.  Please forgive us for not forgiving other people.  Remind us to forgive others; and we shall be quick to forgive.

Think about any relationships in your life that are strained or broken.  Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any bitterness, anger, or disappointment that you may have towards them.  Acknowledge it, and forgive that person(s):

Father, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, You are high above all nations, and Your glory is above the heavens.  Who is like You, the Lord our God, who dwells on high, who humbles Yourself to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth?  You have declared, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.”  In Jesus’ Name, Amen

A Prayer for Salvation

A Prayer for Salvation

Scripture Reading:

Ephesians 1:3-10, Romans 15:1-13

Reflections of the Heart:

We are thankful to the Holy Spirit, who reminds us in the Word of God that Jesus anticipates the mission to non-believers, whom He calls “other sheep.” We, who were not of His first “fold,” belong to Him. Since Pentecost, our complete incorporation into the one church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the full mandate of the Great Commission to spread the Gospel around the world, even to those who may hate Christ in us – and may include some of our family members, friends, co-workers, and those we perceive to be enemies.

Scriptural Prayer:

O God, we come to Your altar, to You, the source of all our joy. We will praise You with our harps, O God, our God! Great are You, Lord! You are most worthy of praise! You are to be feared above all gods. We will thank You, Lord, among all the people. We will sing Your praises among the nations. We will give repeated thanks to You, Lord, praising You to everyone. Father, You loved the world so much that You gave Your one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Whatever we do or say, we will do it as a representative of You, Lord Jesus, giving thanks through You to God, our Father. Thank You for the gift of salvation through Your, death, burial and resurrection.  Gracious Father, we thank You for extending Your unfailing love towards us.  Thank You, for the tremendous harvest of souls. You are great and greatly to be praised.

Heavenly Father, You are Creator of everything, including man and woman in Your own image. Your decree to be fruitful and multiply manifested into families who identify as communities and nations and continents. You have graciously given each of Your creation free will to choose eternal life in Jesus Christ or eternal death in the lake of fire. Father God, we know that unbelief is sin, a self deception and false teaching. We commit ourselves, the church of Jesus Christ everywhere, to do the work of evangelists as did the church at Thessalonica. They became an example to all the believers in Greece. And then the Word of the Lord rang out from them to people everywhere, even beyond Macedonia and Achaia, for Paul found people telling him about their faith in God. As Paul thanked God through Jesus Christ because the faith of the Romans was being talked about all over the world, we claim that local evangelists and missionaries will act out Your kind of faith, Father. We know that Your will is that all men and women be saved and understand the truth. We proclaim that You will be glorified through the confession of our family members, friends, co-workers and enemies who will accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior because of the lifestyle and confession lived before them by the men and women who walk in the Spirit by faith. We stand united on Your Word that pastors and teachers will preach the Word and do the work of an evangelist, in season and out of season. We are reminded that out of the mouths of babes – even those babes in Christ – will come perfected praise to lift up the Light of Jesus to draw men and women, boys and girls, of all races and creeds of non-believers to Your Son and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Merciful Father, we covet that men and women will act out the authority You have vested in believers and be more than conquering warriors. We pray that our message from the Lord will spread rapidly and be honored by our family members and friends and everyone who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We pray that all believers are ready to share the hope that Christ gave us. For You sent Jesus, Your Son, into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. Holy Spirit, inspire in all believers a zeal to be obedient to heed the Great Commission and “go” to their family members and friends who aren’t saved and teach them Your Word. Help Christians to teach co-workers and even those they perceive to be enemies that You love them and desire that they become Your children. Empower all believers to take the Lord’s charge to preach the Word of God; to be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not; to patiently correct, rebuke and encourage people with good teaching. Father, create in those we touch a pure heart and a reborn spirit.

Holy Spirit, remind me every time I encounter unsaved people and encourage me to speak God’s Word to them. Some that I recall include:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Father, Your Word says that if we believers confess sins to You, You are faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. Forgive those believers who, out of a pure heart and according to Your will, seek Your forgiveness for their lack of diligence in making known to those in their sphere of influence the precious hope they have in the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that all believers will come before Your throne of grace and confess complacency and disobedience to Your Great Commission in true godly repentance. For we know that the kind of sorrow You want us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There is no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation; but, deliver us from the evil one.

Father God, we sing in a mighty chorus, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered – to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” The Lord lives! Praise to our Rock! May You, the God of our salvation, be exalted! In the majestic Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen!
