March 12: A Prayer for Employment in the United States

Awesome Father, we thank You for providing employment for us, Your children.  Thank You for sustaining those who are in need of a financial breakthrough.  Thank You for helping them daily.  Thank You, for being our source and our supply.  Holy and righteous is Your Name.  You are a great God, and a great King above all other gods.  You are our God; and we are the people of our pasture, and the flock under Your care.  Lord, You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth.  You are our strength and shield, and we trust in You.  You help us and our hearts are filled with joy.  We burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Holy Father, it is Your will that Your children live healthy, productive, happy, and balanced lives. We confess that as those people who are seeking employment place their trust in You and do good; they will live safely in the land and prosper.  They will never let loyalty and kindness leave them.  They will tie them around their necks as a reminder; and write them deep within their hearts.  Then they will find favor with both You and men, and they will earn a good reputation.  Lord, we declare that they will trust in You with all their hearts; and not depend on their own understanding.  They will seek Your will in all that they do, and we believe that You will show them which path to take.  In Jesus’ Name, we command the doors of employment to open for our unemployed.  We declare that when they receive employment, they will work as if You are their direct supervisor.  They will not talk back or steal, but will show themselves to be entirely trustworthy and good. They will respect authority, walk in integrity and complete a full day’s work for a full day’s pay.

If you know someone who is unemployed or who wants new employment, write down their names and insert their names into this prayer:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Righteous Father, help those who are unemployed to prepare for their new job.  Send people who will consult with them about how to prepare a resume and how to dress and prepare for an interview. Remind them that because they trust in You, they will not lack any good thing.  Holy Spirit, please help them to not grow discouraged or frustrated, but help them to continue to remain hopeful and expect their breakthrough to come forth.  Father, some need a miracle right now.  Please help them.  Holy Spirit, for those who have a poor work ethic, help them to improve.   Erase any negative perception caused by past work experiences.  Holy Spirit, help stretch their income until employment is found.

Merciful Father, forgive those people who demonstrate a poor work ethic.  Forgive them for not being on time, leaving early, and wasting time.  Forgive those who have not paid their tithes and offerings (consistently), or spent their money unnecessarily.  Forgive those for misusing company property.  Forgive those who have operated in arrogance, greed, lust, pride, arrogance, and rebellion.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind those people who are seeking employment to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help them not to yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations.  Who can be compared to You?  Who is Your equal?  Lord, You are high above all nations.  Your glory is above the heavens.  Yours is the Kingdom, power, and glory forever.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

February 25: A Declaration of Financial Stability

Beloved Father, thank You for being our Great Provider. Thank you for jobs, businesses, and income. Thank You for all of the blessings that Your favor has afforded us. Let us live forever in Your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of Your wings! For You have heard our vows, O God. You have given us an inheritance reserved for those who fear Your Name. May we remain under Your protection forever. May Your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over us. Then we will sing praises to Your Name forever as we fulfill our vows each day.

Lord, we, the Body of Christ, declare that the earth is Yours, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to You. In light of this truth, we declare that we will not rely on the government or anyone else to help us to become financially stable. We will trust in You with all our hearts and we will not depend on our own understanding. We will seek Your will in all we do, and we know that You will show us which path to take. We will not place the welfare of our families at risk by making hasty or unwise financial decisions. As ambassadors of Your Kingdom, we take authority over debt, greed, and reckless spending in all forms. In Jesus’ Name, we rebuke the spirit of poverty, and we command that all that God has entitled us to have is released back into our possession right now! We decree that we will not love money, but we will be satisfied with what we have, for Father, You promised that You will never fail us and You will never abandon us. We will no longer be in fear about our financial future, but we will submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit who understands all things pertaining to life.

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what areas of financial stewardship you and your family need to improve so that you can become more financially stable:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, help us to act responsibly in the way we handle our money. Remind us to put God first in everything we do. Give us a strong conviction to never withhold our tithes and offerings and to be generous toward others. Lord, teach us to be cheerful givers, for You promised that if we sow sparingly we will also reap sparingly. But if we sow bountifully we will also reap bountifully. Help those of us who are married to work together, not against one another, and to pray for direction about our family finances. Help all of us to seek out wise counsel to improve our understanding of financial management. Give us patience as we go through the process of correction and restoration. May we learn from our past mistakes and be mindful to leave a faithful path of excellence in stewardship for our children to follow.

Holy Father, forgive us of our many sins, including slothfulness, greed, pride, selfishness, arrogance, and rebelliousness. Forgive us when we carelessly make vows, then break them. Forgive us for conforming to the world’s way of doing things instead of adopting the values of the Kingdom. Forgive those of us who still withhold our tithe from You. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Almighty King, You are greater than we can understand. Your years cannot be counted. Everything comes from You and exists by Your power and is intended for Your glory. All glory to You, Lord, forever! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

January 31: A Prayer for the United States Economy

Gracious Father, we thank You for being faithful to the United States of America throughout our history. Thank You for blessing us to prosper and to grow from generation to generation. Thank You for keeping our nation through our economic hardships and financial conflicts. You have been merciful, Lord. This whole earth, everything in it, and the people who inhabit it belong to You, O God. It is You who supplies us with abundance. It is You who sustains us in times of lack. Your instructions are perfect, they revive our souls. Your commandments are clear and right. They give us insight for living. We, Your children, delight in them and love to meditate on them day and night. We are grateful that You are willing to bear the heavy burdens of our nation so that we are free to worship You and receive rest.  Dear Father, it is You who strengthens our nation and holds us up with Your victorious right hand!

Holy Father, we command the economic infrastructure of the United States to submit to Your will. We confess that the hope of our nation’s citizens will no longer be deferred. Lord, we expect that You will raise up people within our nation’s financial leadership who, like Joseph, have a supernatural anointing to receive, interpret, and administrate visions that will save companies, restore jobs, and open new opportunities in stagnant sectors of our economic markets.  All-Knowing Father, we decree that Your solution will be sought and revealed in the earth to justify American jobs and encourage innovation and global competitiveness among domestic corporations, giving priority consideration to United States taxpayers. We destroy the works of the spirits of consumption-oriented capitalism, conspicuous consumption, greed, avarice, fear, perversion, uncertainty, and inefficiency. In Jesus’ Name, we command prosperity to come back from the north, south, east, and west into the economy of the United States of America.

Holy Spirit, I commit to praying specifically for the following corporations and industries:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Glorious Father, we pray that Your generous outpouring of wisdom, discernment, and divine understanding will be gladly received by our economic and government leaders. Holy Spirit, we ask You to strategically assign men and women who are fully equipped to reveal creative ideas and effective methods to the presidential economic team. Show them how to decrease our national deficit while continuing to provide the necessary standards, services, and benefits to the American people. Holy Spirit, please revive the Body of Christ and remind us of who we are − the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Give us divine motivation to boldly declare the Word of God so that those who have become captives of this world’s system can be liberated. Help us, as a nation, to reconnect to the Living God as our source and supply, and remove any thoughts of doubt, fear, or dismay.

Loving Father, we repent on behalf of our nation for our many sins. We acknowledge that many of us played an active role in causing the downturn of our economy. Forgive us for greed, arrogance, selfishness, and oppression of the poor. Forgive our CEOs for overcompensating themselves and placing their employees and companies in jeopardy in order to maintain their lavish lifestyles and greedy appetites. Forgive those consumers who acted out of impulse and impatience and made unwise choices, landing them and their families in tremendous debt. Merciful Father, please forgive our nation for being selfish, reckless, and irresponsible with the blessings You intended to be handed down to the generations following us. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us, as a nation, not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Omnipotent God, how great are Your riches and wisdom and knowledge! You are the God who does great things too marvelous to understand. It is You who performs countless miracles. We praise You, Lord! Let everyone on earth bless Your holy Name forever and ever!  Everything comes from You and exists by Your power and is intended for Your glory. All glory to You forever.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

November 22: A Declaration of Kingdom Financial Blessings

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your eternal love and unmerited grace.  We thank You for Your love for us that never ceases and Your mercy which never comes to an end.  Your mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.  Thank You, Father, for being our strength, our shield, our provider and our Savior. You are great and You do wondrous things.  You are God alone.  Lord, You are in Your Holy temple; You are on Your heavenly throne.  To You, O God do we give thanks.  Yes, to You do we give thanks.  We extol You, our God, O King; and we bless Your Name forever and ever.

Righteous Father, as Kingdom citizens, it is Your will that we excel in the area of our finances. We recognize that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Therefore, we will earn, save, spend and invest money in obedience to Your perfect plan for our lives and our families.  We confess that as You bring financial blessings into our lives, we will remember that it is You who gives us the power to get wealth so that the covenant which You swore to our fathers will be established and we will be positioned as instruments to build Your Kingdom.  Father, we confess that all that we set our hands to do is blessed because You have commanded blessings on our storehouses, including savings, investments and retirement accounts. Lord, we declare that as Your blessings overtake us, we will be able to lend money to many and not have to borrow from anyone. We confess that as we bring our tithes and offerings into Your house, we are expecting You to pour out blessings that we will not have room to receive and You will rebuke the devourer for our sakes.

Holy Spirit, show me what I need to do so that I can be a better steward of the resources I have been blessed with:

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, we ask that You shift our focus from spending to saving and from consuming our income to building wealth.  Help our Church Family members to bind mercy and truth around our necks and write them on our hearts; causing us to have favor in Your sight and in the sight of man. Lord, help us to study Your Word, to meditate on it day and night and observe to do the things written within it so that we may make our way prosperous and have good success. Holy Spirit, help us to build business and personal relationships with other Christians.  Help us to begin to love people and use money, rather than loving money and using people.  We pray for a breaking of old mindsets and generational curses of poverty and lack within the families of our congregation.

Forgiving Father, forgive us for our sins. Forgive us for repeating patterns of financial failures such as living beyond our means and misusing credit cards.  Forgive those in our congregation and our communities for our heavy dependence on payday loan outlets and pawn shops.  Forgive us for failing to develop financial plans that include debt reduction, savings and investments. Father, forgive us for walking by sight, rather than walking in faith. Forgive many of us for entertaining thoughts that we are supposed to have the most of the worst and the least of the best. Forgive those in our congregation who have refuse to make court-ordered child support payments.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Yours, God, is the power and the glory.  Yours, O Lord, is the victory and the majesty.  All that is in heaven and earth is Yours.  Yours is the Kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen

A Prayer for the Economic Crisis in the United States of America

A Prayer for the Economic Crisis in the United States of America

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 84, Deuteronomy 8

Reflections of the Heart:

“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; His ears are open to their cries for help.”  Psalm 34:15

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You are God and Your Word is true.  We exalt You, our God and King.  We will praise Your Name forever and ever.  Every day we will praise You. You are most worthy of praise.  You are our source, and we place our trust in You.  Holy and Righteous is Your Name.  You are a great God and a great King above other gods.  You are our God; we are Your people who You watch over.  We are the flock under Your care.  Thank You for blessing the United States of America throughout the years.  Thank You, Father, for blessing the economic infrastructure of our nation.  Thank You for surrounding our nation with Your favor, grace and mercy during this time of economic crisis.

In Jesus’ Name, we speak to the United States economy and all interrelated global economies and command “peace, be still” within and among all the economic systems.  We stand in the authority given to us and speak to the economic infrastructure of our nation and we command the United States credit markets to become calm and fluid.  We also command all related financial intermediaries around the world to become calm and fluid.  We command restoration to consumer and investor confidence.  We command the banking industry to stabilize and the enterprise values of U.S. corporations to rebound supernaturally, now!  As a result, we decree that DOW JONES, NASDAQ and the major financial exchange networks around the world will rebound and thrive.  We command a balanced solution to the crisis involving the United States automakers.  We command the housing industry to stabilize and home values to be restored to levels that will reflect God’s biblical promises for this country.  We rebuke the spirits of conspicuous consumption, fear, uncertainty and inefficiency.  In Jesus’ Name, we boldly proclaim foreclosures to cease, job losses to reverse, and the stock market decline to bottom out.  We speak normalcy and balanced prosperity back into our economic system.

Eternal Father, we ask that You would pour out Your wisdom, discernment and divine understanding into Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, Barney Frank of the House Committee on Financial Services and all local, state and national economic and government leaders.  Reveal creative ideas and effective methods to them that will decrease our national deficit while continuing to provide the necessary standards, services and benefits to the American people. Holy Spirit, stir the hearts of the Body of Christ to stand and boldly proclaim Your Word concerning the current global and U.S. economic predicament.  Please restore the confidence of the American people in You, as our source and supply, and remove any thoughts of fear or dismay.

Lord, we repent on behalf of our nation for our many sins.  Forgive us for ageism, sexism, racism and nepotism.  Forgive us for greed, arrogance, selfishness, imperialism and oppression.  Please forgive the financial intermediaries for charging more than they should have charged for packaging and securitizing the mortgages.  Forgive CEO’s for accepting extraordinary compensation while leaving Americans empty-handed.  Forgive consumers who borrowed more money than they could pay back.  Forgive our nation for financial irresponsibility and carelessness.  Holy Spirit, show our leaders who they need to forgive; and help them to forgive.

As a nation, lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, there is none like You.  You are great and Your Name is full of power.  Who would not fear You, O King of the nations?  That title belongs to You, alone!  Among all the wise people of the earth and in all the kingdoms of the world, there is no one like You.  You are the King of glory.  You are the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.  You are worthy, Lord our God, to receive glory, honor and power.  You created all things and they exist because You created what You pleased.

A Prayer of Declaration for Financial Blessings

A Prayer of Declaration for Financial Blessings

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 113, II Corinthians 9

Reflections of the Heart:

As tithers, we have no need to worry about our finances.  Our God will open the windows of heaven for us.  He will pour out blessings so great; we will not have enough room to receive. Try it! Put Him to the test!  Malachi 3:10

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we praise You with all of our hearts; we will tell of all the marvelous things You have done.  Your reign is forever.  You execute judgment from Your throne.  You judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness.  Lord, You are a shelter for the oppressed and a refuge in times of trouble.  We trust in You because we know Your Name; we know that You do not abandon those who search for You.  Father, Your righteousness reaches to the highest heavens. You have done wonderful things!  Who can compare with You?  Thank You for being our provider.  Thank You for giving us the power to be successful.  Thank You, Father, for being our economic strong tower during these trying financial times.

Father, we declare that we are blessed as a Church Family because we fear You, and delight in obeying Your commands.  We believe that Your plans for our finances are good and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope.  As we are willing and obedient, according to Your Word, we expect to eat the good of the land.  As a Church Family, we confess that we will not fear the economic forecasts because our trust is in You and because we know that You are for us.  We confess that our confidence is in You and not in our jobs, our investments, our bank accounts or ourselves.  Every good and perfect gift is from You, the Father of lights, so we say that we will walk by faith and not by sight.  As a Church Family, we commit to seeking Your Kingdom above all things and living righteously and we know that You will give us everything we need.  We release old mindsets, habits and behavior patterns that have created lack and poverty.  We forbid thoughts of failure, defeat and mediocrity to inhabit our minds.  We confess that wealth and riches are perpetually in our homes and our righteousness will endure forever.  Proverbs 14:23 says that in all labor there is profit, therefore, as we work hard we command profit margins and surplus to increase. We declare that we will continue to give cheerfully to the Kingdom of God because we know that as we do this, You will generously provide for us and we will always have everything we need and have plenty left over to share with others.  We commit to teaching our children Your Word about financial prosperity and we declare that they will be mighty on the earth.  We decree that our children will become entrepreneurs, heads of corporations and leaders of nations.  We command promotions and financial increase to manifest in the lives of every Church Family member, now!  Additionally, we command all of the finances for the Kingdom Builders’ Center to come forth, now!

What are God’s promises for your finances?  Write those scriptures down and confess them over your life:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, rescue those who are drowning in financial debt and help us all to manage our finances better.  As we receive increases in our finances, help us to remember that abundance comes from You.  Please help us to not hoard Your blessings.  Your Word says that when we help the poor, we are lending to You and You will repay our generosity.  So please remind us to be generous.  Holy Spirit, touch the hearts of our Church Family to give to the poor through the Promise of Giving.  Help us all to look for opportunities to be a financial blessing to someone else.   Father, please surround us with Your favor like a shield as we do business in our public and private lives and continue to open doors of opportunity.  Teach us how to love people and use money, rather than loving money and using people.

Father, forgive us for all acts of sin, including idolatry, greed, stinginess, financial idolatry, self-centeredness, arrogance, pride, stubbornness and financial disobedience.  Forgive us for expressing words of doubt and unbelief concerning Your promise of financial abundance.   Forgive those of us who continue the downward spiral of financial mismanagement.  Forgive us for failing to develop financial plans that include debt reduction, savings and investments.  Forgive us for living beyond our means and misusing credit cards.   Father, forgive those members who do not pay their tithes and help them to get on track and begin to tithe. Forgive me for (list the sins, say them out loud to the Lord).   Lord, remind us of those we need to forgive, and help us to be quick to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say out loud, “I forgive name of person(s).”

Help us to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, You made the earth by Your power and preserve it by Your wisdom.  With Your own understanding You stretched out the heavens.  When You speak in the thunder, the heavens are filled with water.  You cause the clouds to rise over the earth, You send the lightning with the rain and release the wind from Your storehouses.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Persons Looking for Employment or Those in Need of a Financial Breakthrough

A Prayer for Persons Looking for Employment or Those in Need of a Financial Breakthrough

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 48, Psalm 112

Reflections of the Heart:

Sometimes things happen in life that are beyond our control.  It is during these trying times that we can rejoice in the knowledge that our God will never leave us nor forsake us.  Our relationship with Him allows us to walk through life’s challenges knowing that through the blood of Christ, we are overcomers.  Therefore, cast your cares upon Him for He truly does care for you.

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, holy and righteous is Your Name.  You are a great God, and a great King, above all other gods.  You are our God; and we are the people of our pasture, and the sheep of Your hand.  Lord, You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth.  You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider and we place our trust in You.  Thank You for providing employment to Your children.  Thanks for sustaining those who are in need of a financial breakthrough.  Thank You for helping them daily.  Thank You, Father, for being our source and our supply.

Father, it is Your will that Your children live healthy, productive, happy, and balanced lives. We believe that as those persons who are seeking employment seek Your face; You will hear them and deliver them from all their fears.  We confess that they will not let mercy and truth get away from them.  They will wear them like a necklace; and write them deep within their hearts.  Then they will find favor with both You and men, and they will gain a good reputation.  Lord, we declare that they will trust in You with all their hearts; and not depend on their own understanding.  They will seek Your will in all that they do, and we believe that You will direct their paths.  Father, as they trust You and do good, they will live safely in the land and prosper.  In Jesus’ Name, we command the doors of employment to open for our unemployed.  We declare that as they receive employment, they will work with enthusiasm, as though they are working for You rather than for man.   We decree that those persons who are in need of a financial breakthrough will be still in Your presence and wait patiently for You to act.  As they do this, they will not worry about food and clothing, for if You clothe the grass of the field, how much more will You provide for them.

I will take the following steps in seeking employment today by:

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________________________________

Father, help those who are unemployed and those who need a financial breakthrough to trust You.  Please provide jobs, education and promotions for them.  Remind them that because they trust in You, they will not lack any good thing.   Father, some need a miracle right now.  Please help them.  Holy Spirit, for those who have a poor work ethic, help them to improve.   Please help those who have mismanaged their funds, to live disciplined lives.

Father, forgive those people who demonstrate a poor work ethic.  Forgive them for not being on time, leaving early, and wasting time.  Forgive those who have not paid their tithes and offerings (consistently), or spent their money unnecessarily. Forgive those who have operated in selfish ambitions, greed, lust, pride, arrogance, and rebellion.  Lord, remind them of people they need to forgive; and help them to forgive.

Lead them not into temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

We worship You, O King, Creator of heaven and earth!  To whom shall we compare Your great and marvelous works?  Who is Your equal?  Lord, You are high above all nations.  Your glory is above the heavens.  Yours is the Kingdom, power, and glory forever.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for God’s Favor Upon Entrepreneurs and the Economic Development in our Community

A Prayer for God’s Favor Upon Entrepreneurs and the Economic Development in our Community

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 95, John 16:5-15

Reflections of the Heart:

Godly entrepreneurs should be mindful of the seven things the Lord detests which are haughty eyes, lying tongues, hands that kill the innocent, hearts that plot evil, feet that race to do wrong, false witnesses who pour out lies and persons who sows discord among brothers.  As entrepreneurs, walk in godly integrity and our communities will reap the benefits.

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, You are God and Your word is true.  We extol You as our God and King.  We will bless Your name forever and ever.  Everyday we will bless You and praise Your name.  You are great and greatly to be praised.  You are our source, and we place our trust in You.  Thank You for providing for our entrepreneurs throughout the years.  Thank You, Father, for blessing businesses within our community and opening doors of opportunity that have produced profit and employment.  Thank You for the economic development that we have in our community.

Father, we confess Your word to be operative in the lives of our entrepreneurs and in the economic development of our community.  Father, we confess that our entrepreneurs are blessed and we expect favor to surround Your people like a shield.  We confess that as our entrepreneurs commit their works to You their thoughts will be established.  We declare that our entrepreneurs will honor You with their possessions and with the first fruits of all their increases so that their barns will be filled and their vats will overflow with new wine.  We declare that whatever they do, they will do it heartily, as to You and not to men.  Lord, we confess that as our entrepreneurs walk uprightly, no good thing will be withheld from them.  We expect You to look upon the economic development in our community favorably and make our land fruitful.  Father, as You continue to bless us, we will be a blessing to the entrepreneurs in our community by frequenting their businesses.

Father, we ask that Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, and power rest on each entrepreneur, investor, and employee.  Fill them with the knowledge of Your will and give them a thirst for Your word so that they can learn Your ways for practicing business.  Holy Spirit, help them to make righteous decisions and operate with justice and integrity.  Give them dreams and visions that exceed their expectations and provide them with the resources they need to successfully accomplish Your purpose for their businesses.  Father, encourage potential entrepreneurs to write down Your vision for their business and make it plain in a business plan so that they and their investors can implement it.  We ask for the creation of new revenue streams within our community.  Touch the public and private sectors to continue to invest into our community.  Lord, please continue to bless our community so that it will reflect Your glory and benefit the people living in it.

Holy Spirit, show me what I can do to help improve the economy of my community?:

Lord, forgive our entrepreneurs for all acts of sinfulness.  Forgive those who have not been diligent in seeking Your leadership for their businesses.  Forgive those who do not trust in You but lean on their own understanding.  Forgive those who have compromised Your word in order to make a profit.  Forgive those who have not treated their employees and customers fairly.  Forgive those who have not been faithful in giving through tithes and offerings.  Forgive those who have not properly taken care of or shown respect for the community they live in.  Forgive me for not supporting those businesses You have established in my community.  Remind entrepreneurs and business owners in our community to be forgiving; and help them to be quick to forgive.

Lead them not into temptation; but, deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, You are the King of glory.  You are the Lord of hosts.  You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Finances

A Prayer for Finances

Scripture Reading:

Jeremiah 10:6-16, Malachi 3:1-8

Reflections of the Heart:

“Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, let the Lord be magnified, who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” Psalm 35:27

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, You are great and You perform wonderful deeds.  You alone are God.  Lord, You are in Your Holy temple; You rule from heaven.  To You, O God do we give thanks.  Yes, to You do we give thanks.  We thank You for Your eternal love and unmerited grace.  We thank You for Your unfailing love for us that never ends and Your mercies which never cease.  Your mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.  We exalt You, our God and King; and we praise Your Name forever and ever.  Thank You, Father, for being our strength, our shield, our provider and our Savior.  Thank You for blessing us with jobs that provide us with income.  Thank You for promotions and raises.  Thank You for favor with our bosses and co-workers.

Father, we confess that we will save, spend and invest money in obedience to Your perfect plan for our lives and our families.  We confess that as You bring financial blessings into our lives, we will remember that You give us the power to get wealth.  We declare that we are set on high above the nations of the earth because we diligently obey Your voice and observe Your commandments, carefully.  Father, we confess that all that we set our hands to do is blessed because You have commanded blessings on our storehouses, including savings, investments and retirement accounts.  Lord, we declare that as Your blessings overtake us, we will be able to lend money to many and not have to borrow from anyone.  We confess that as we bring the tithes into Your house, we expect You to pour out blessings so large that we will not have room to receive them.  Lord, we declare that we will be faithful stewards of Your financial blessings and we expect You to confirm Your Word and make us rulers over abundant wealth.  We call forth a new anointing of entrepreneurship, new ideas and new businesses in our communities.  Lord, we call forth a spirit of excellence and prosperity in our finances and in all areas of our lives.

Holy Spirit, please shift our focus from spending to saving and from consuming our income to building wealth.  We ask You to help us tie loyalty and kindness around our necks and write them deep within our hearts that we may find favor with both You and people and we will earn a good reputation.  Father, we pray for promotions and financial increase.  Holy Spirit, help us to study the Word, to meditate on it day and night and observe to do the things written within it, so that we may make our way prosperous and have success in all that we do.  Help us to build business and personal relationships with other Christians, and give us favor with the business community.  Help us to begin to love people and use money, rather than loving money and using people.  We pray for a breaking of old mindsets and generational curses of poverty and lack within our families.

Father, forgive us for our sins.  Forgive us for repeating patterns of financial failures such as living beyond our means and misusing credit cards.  Forgive us for failing to develop financial plans that include debt reduction, savings and investments.  Forgive many of us for believing that we are supposed to have the most of the worst and the least of the best.  Forgive us for not recognizing that You will not withhold any good thing from us, as we walk uprightly before You.  Forgive us for words and thoughts of doubt and unbelief.  Father, forgive us for walking by sight, rather than walking by faith.  Lord, remind us of those we need to forgive, and we will be quick to forgive.

Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, You are our Savior.  You are the hope of everyone on earth.  You formed the mountains by Your power and armed Yourself with mighty strength.  You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nations. Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your wonders.  From where the sun rises to where it sets, You inspire shouts of joy.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
