A Prayer for Recovery and Restoration in Japan

A Prayer for Recovery and Restoration in Japan

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the nation of Japan and its people.  Thank You for being Jehovah Shalom, the Lord God of peace. Thank You for watching over the nation of Japan and for sending people to help them to rebuild and recover from the devastation caused by the earthquake and tsunami.  Lord, we, Your children, long for You as the deer longs for streams of water.  We thirst for You, the living God. Father, all that is within us will wait quietly for You. You alone are our rock and our salvation.  You are our fortress where we will not be shaken. Our victory and honor comes from You alone. Lord, You are majestic and we bless Your holy and righteous Name.

Eternal Father, let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in Japan. Today, we cry out for the nation of Japan. As the people of God, we know that Your arm is not too weak to save the Japanese people from this devastating disaster.  We expect Your divine intervention because we are praying. We confess that through the recovery process the people of Japan will realize that You so loved them that You gave Your one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have eternal life. Using the authority given to us by Jesus Christ, we speak to the radioactive iodine levels and command them to decrease so that the water and food supply is safe for public consumption.  We declare that human radioactive contamination will not increase.  Lord, You have not given the Japanese people a spirit of fear so we cancel the assignment of fear that is preventing tourists from visiting the resorts and businesses that have been restored. We call forth justice to run down like water and righteousness like a stream for the families who make a living in the fishing industry in Japan. We call forth adequate compensation for those whose businesses have been stalled because of the contaminated sea water. We decree that Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, and Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) CEO Masataka Shimizu will listen to wise counsel and receive instruction as they co-devise recovery strategies.  We command the necessary funds for rebuilding to come forth!

Holy Spirit, thousands of people are still missing, please guide the efforts of the rescue teams in their recovery efforts.  Give peace to those families who are still waiting for word about missing loved ones. Continue to give the TEPCO engineers wisdom as they work on rebuilding the damaged reactors.  Reveal any breaches to the facility structure.  Protect and watch over the workers of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station as they perform their daily duties. Touch the hearts of the global community to continue to assist Japan in this extraordinary recovery effort. Lord, touch the hearts of world leaders to continue to provide the necessary support Japan will need to rebuild.

Merciful Father, please forgive all of us for our many sins. Forgive us for disobedience, rebellion, unbelief, forms of idolatry, shedding of innocent blood, and the rejection of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Forgive those who prey on people in tragic circumstances. Forgive the people in Japan who have not been sensitive to Your leadership. Forgive those Christians who live among the people in this part of the world for not adequately praying for this nation and for not consistently sharing Your love and Your Word.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind the residents of Japan of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.  (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Faithful Father, help the residents of Japan to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

We worship You, O Great Deliverer! All praise belongs to You. You are the Lord God of Israel who alone does such wonderful things.  We will praise Your glorious Name forever.  Let the whole earth be filled with Your glory, Amen and Amen!

A Prayer for Physical Healing

A Prayer for Physical Healing

Scripture Reading

Psalm 111, James 5:13-16

Reflections of the Heart:

Divine healing is as real today as it was in the book of Acts.  Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever!  In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who believe:  They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages.  They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them.  They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”  Let us do what Jesus did!

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, You are great and You perform wonderful deeds.  You alone are God.  How great are Your signs and how powerful are Your wonders.  Lord, You are high above all the nations.  Your glory is higher than the heavens.  Who can be compared with You, our God, who is enthroned on high.   We give thanks because You are near.  People everywhere will tell of Your wonderful deeds.   Lord, we thank You for salvation, the greatest miracle of all.  Thank You for Your eternal love and unmerited grace.  Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to break the power of the devil and to bring us hope, health, and healing.  Lord, You are good and Your unfailing love endures forever.

Lord, You brought Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and powerful arm.  Jesus Christ, Your Son, turned water into wine, cleansed lepers, healed the sick, raised the dead, and fed five thousand people with two fish and five loaves of bread.  Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples so that we would believe that He is the Christ, the Son of God, and have life in His name.   We believe Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.   Therefore; Father we expect You to display Your glory in the lives of those persons who are in need of healing and deliverance.  With You, nothing is impossible.  We expect diseases to be dissolved, broken relationships to be mended, and those who are held captive in their minds and souls to be set free.  As we pray for those in need of healing, we confess that Your healing power will operate through us.

Father, please help us to be bolder about praying for healing.  Help those in need of healing to trust in You with all of their heart and not depend on their own understanding.  Holy Spirit, please open the eyes of their understanding so that they will understand the confident hope He has given to those He has called in the miraculous.  Remind people to look to You for help, strength, and power.  Father, cause Your healing to be experienced throughout our church and community.

Father, forgive those persons who have doubted Your Word and Your works.  Forgive them for acting religious, but rejecting the power that could make them godly, but denying Your power to perform healings, signs and wonders in their lives and in the lives of others.  Lord, please forgive them and restore to them the joy of Your salvation.  Lord, remind people of those they need to forgive; and help them to be quick to forgive.

Lead those in need of healing not into temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Father, You are the Almighty!  Only You can open the eyes of the blind and unplug the ears of the deaf.  You cause the lame to leap like  deer and those who cannot speak to sing for joy. You cause springs to gush forth in the wilderness and streams to water the wasteland.   You cause the parched ground to become a pool and springs of water to satisfy the thirsty land. Great and awesome is Your Name.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Persons with Renegade Blood Disorders

A Prayer for Persons with Renegade Blood Disorders

Scripture Reading

Psalm 138, James 5:13-16

Reflections of the Heart:

Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever!  In Mark 16:17-18 (NLT), Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who believe:  They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages.  They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them.  They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”  Therefore, as believers, let us do what Jesus did!

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we praise and honor Your Name.  Your Name is the Lord and we will rejoice before You.  You have been our home through all generations.  We praise You, Lord God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.  Lord, what a variety of things You have made.  In wisdom, You have made them all.  The earth is full of Your creatures.  Thank You, Lord, for sending Your Word to heal us, and for snatching us from the door of death.  Thank You, Father, for providing healing through the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

List the names of persons who are battling with a renegade blood disorder.  Now, declare this Word over their lives today and encourage them to trust the Lord.  Healing scriptures can be downloaded from www.kingdombuilders.com.  Go to the prayer link.

Father, we pray for all persons with renegade blood disorders such as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), Sickle Cell Anemia, Lupus, Hypertension, and Hemophilia.  Lord, today, we apply Your Word to these blood-related diseases and we are expecting miracles.  According to the authority that You have given us to heal the sick and cast out demons, we command Your Word to be operative in the blood cells of every person who is experiencing blood disorders.   Lord, we command their blood circulatory systems to operate perfectly.  We command their lungs, hearts and organs to operate correctly as designed by You.  We command their red blood cells to carry the appropriate oxygen throughout their bodies and their white blood cells to form a protective shield against all foreign bodies.  Lord, we confess that as each person pays attention to Your Word, and let it penetrate deep into their hearts, the Word will bring life to them and healing to their whole body.  Lord, we are expecting their health to be restored.  Lord Jesus, You personally carried our sins in Your body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right.  Therefore, by Your wounds, we are healed.  Father, we are expecting miracles!

Father, we ask You to touch the hearts of those persons who have not confessed Jesus Christ, to confess Him as their Savior and Lord.  Please give strength to those who are weak, and increase power to those who have no might.  Lord, please give wisdom to the practitioners who provide medical treatment.  Regardless of their relationship with You, please work through them for the sake of those who are suffering.  Lord, please remind those who are battling with their health to take Your Word daily; just as they would take their prescribed medicine.  Father, remind them to eat healthy foods and to get the proper rest.  Help those persons who are struggling with receiving help to accept the kindness of others.  Lord, please help them to guard their hearts and minds from doubt and unbelief.  Lord, please give them comfort.  Father, like Lazarus, bring life back to their bodies.

Father, forgive all acts of sinfulness for those persons who are battling with renegade blood disorders.  Please forgive the sins and iniquities of their forefathers.  Forgive each person for worry, fear and for walking in doubt and disobedience.  Forgive those who do not diligently seek after You.  Lord, remind them of people they need to forgive, and help them to forgive.

Lead them not into temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

God, You are greater than we can understand.  Your years cannot be counted.  You draw up the water vapor and distill it into rain.  Only You know where light comes from and where darkness goes.  You direct the movement of the stars, binding the cluster of the Pleiades and loosening the cords of Orion.  Holy and triumphant is Your Name!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Persons Who Are Emotionally and/or Spiritually Immature

A Prayer for Persons Who Are Emotionally and/or Spiritually Immature

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 89:1-11, Hebrews 5:11-14 – 6:1-12

Reflections of the Heart:

When a child begins to crawl, the next logical step is for them to begin to walk.  Once a child begins to babble, we expect that with age, they will speak coherently.  So it is in the Kingdom of God.  As believers, we should always be learning, growing and maturing in the Word of God.  As a Church Family, we should be continually moving from the milk to the meat of God’s Word.

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, with all that we are, we will praise You.  We will praise Your Name as long as we live.  You made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them.  You keep every promise forever.  You are righteous in everything that You do, You are filled with kindness.  Lord, You are close to all who call on You in truth.  You grant the desires of those who fear You; You hear their cries for help and rescue them.  You are the Great I AM.  We praise and honor Your holy and awesome Name.  Thank You for Your Word which instructs and guides us.  Thank You for Your rod and Your staff which protects and comforts us.  Thank You for Your love which can never be separated from us.

Father, You have given pastors and teachers to the Windsor Village Church Family to equip us to do Your work and to build up the church, the Body of Christ.  It is Your will that we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of Your Son that we will be mature in You Lord; measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ Jesus.   Therefore, we confess that as members of WVUMC, we will be a community that does not need to be ashamed and who corretly explains the Word of truth.  Lord, it is not Your desire for us to be unskilled in the Word of righteousness like babes in Christ, but You want our senses to be developed to recognize the difference between right and wrong like those who are mature.  We declare that we are a body of believers who are becoming very skillful in God’s Word and more sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leadership.  We know that if we live according to the flesh we will die, but if we live by the Spirit and put the deeds of the body to death, we will live.  We confess that, daily, we are moving from the sincere milk of God’s Word to becoming meat-eaters.

Holy Spirit, show me the areas of my life where I am still a spiritual infant and what I need to do to mature in those areas:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, enlighten our hearts through the Word.  Help the members of our Church Family to obtain complete knowledge of the Father’s will and to walk in spiritual wisdom and understanding.  Once we do this, then we will know that our lives will always honor and please the Lord and we will produce every kind of good fruit.  Stir up our hearts to hunger and thirst after righteousness so that we may be filled.  Holy Spirit, please help those who are emotionally immature to commit their ways to You and help them to manage their emotions.  Increase Your confidence in the lives of those persons with low self-esteem and cause them to know in their hearts that God has given them everything they need to live a godly life.  Arrest the hearts and souls of all persons who struggle with spiritual immaturity to move from spiritual milk to eating the solid food of Your Word.

Father, please forgive those members who do not acknowledge You in all of their ways. Forgive them for depending on themselves instead of You, Your Son and Your Holy Spirit.  Forgive those who carry offenses, grudges, and anger.  Forgive those who have been lazy about learning more about You.  Forgive all of us for acts of pride, rebellion, disobedience, selfishness, hatred, and idolatry. Forgive those members who, instead of walking by faith, allow their passions and lusts to lead them.    Lord, remind us all of those persons we need to forgive; and help us to be quick to forgive.

Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations.  Who will not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your Name?  You alone are Holy.  All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous deeds have been revealed.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Person(s) Overcoming the Death of a Loved One

A Prayer for Person(s) Overcoming the Death of a Loved One

Psalm 48, Psalm 23

Reflections of the Heart:

It is very difficult to say “good-bye” to a loved one.  The pain can be unbearable.  If you have experienced the death of a loved one, let the Lord love and comfort you.

Scriptural Prayer:

Our Father in heaven, may Your Name be honored.  There is none greater than You.  You are our refuge and strength.  You are always ready to help in times of trouble.  We praise You, Lord.  We lift our hearts with praise.  It is good to sing praises to You, our God; how delightful and how right!  Lord, You are great and mighty in power.  Your understanding is infinite.  We thank You, Father, for the life of our loved one(s) who have gone on to be with You.  Thank You for their time on earth and the impact they had on our lives.  We are thankful to You and we bless Your Name.

Father, You can count the stars and call them all by name.  Your power is absolute.  Your understanding is beyond comprehension.  You support the humble and bring the wicked down into the dust.  You comfort those who mourn.  We declare that those grieving the death of a loved one; mourning will turn into dancing.  We confess that You are their rock, fortress, and Savior in whom they will find protection.  You are their shield, and the strength of their salvation. Father, You are their stronghold.  As they call on You, You have promised to answer.  We believe that You will be with them during this period of bereavement, rescue them from grief, honor them, and give them Your salvation.

Father, we ask You to send Your peace to those persons who are mourning.  Continue to surround them with family, friends and loved ones who will offer words of comfort.   Give them sweet and restful sleep.   Father, remove the spirit of heaviness, and give them garments of praise.  In due time, bless their lives to overflow with laughter and joy again.   As they take refuge in You, please help them to put their trust in You.  Holy Spirit, we ask that You settle the hearts and minds of those who are feeling any guilt, resentment, bitterness, or anger.  Help them not to look back but to press forward.

Write down the name of those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.  In addition to praying for them, call, visit or send an encouraging note to them.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Father, forgive the bereaved for any sins they have committed through thoughts, words, or deeds.  Forgive them if they have not meditated on Your Word to find comfort.  Father, forgive them if they have not been totally submissive to Your perfect will for their lives.  Forgive them for any hurtful things they may have said or done to the deceased.  Lord, help them to forgive the deceased if necessary.  Please remind them of anyone they need to forgive; and help them to forgive quickly.

Lead those who mourn not into temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, the heavens tell of Your glory.  The skies display Your marvelous craftsmanship. You are the Lord, Most High, the great King over all the earth.  You reign over all nations. You are an awesome God.  We honor You, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer of Healing for Persons Diagnosed with Cancer

A Prayer of Healing for Persons Diagnosed with Cancer

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 111, Psalm 27

Reflections of the Heart:

In recent years, too many people have been diagnosed with cancer. This diagnosis creates fear and sometimes hopelessness for many.  Yet, there is hope, for every cancer patient.  Supernatural healing is as real today as it was in the Book of Acts.  By Jesus’ stripes healing has been provided.  Today, when you pray this prayer, pray in faith and confidence knowing that your words will produce a favorable prognosis.

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we proclaim Your righteousness and praise all the day long.  Your faithful love endures forever and Your mercies never cease.  Great is Your faithfulness.  Who can compare to You?  We exalt Your Holy and Righteous Name.  You are the Holy One of Israel who sent Jesus, our Lord and Savior, to redeem all mankind from the curse of the law of sin and death.  Lord, we thank You for watching over those persons who have been diagnosed with cancer.  Thank You for Your healing power.  Thank You, Lord, for declaring us overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.

Father, Your thoughts towards us are of peace and not evil, to give us a future and a hope.  We believe that it is Your will that we live free from all diseases.  Lord, by the authority given to us, we declare that the infirmity of cancer with its many forms and common types – bladder, breast, colon and rectal, endometrial, leukemia, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, prostate, skin, thyroid and other types—are destroyed, in Jesus’ Name.  We command the primary abnormally deformed cell to die at its root and the metastasizing cells to cease from spreading throughout the body, especially to the lungs, bones, liver and brain.   We command the increased production of healthy cells to destroy renegade cells. We declare that abnormal cells will die and not enter into the bloodstream or lymphatic system.  Lord, as the Body of Christ, we declare that our members who have been diagnosed with cancer will not die; but live to tell what You have done.  Lord, I confess that by the stripes of Jesus, (name the person(s) who need healing from cancer) is healed, redeemed, restored and set free from cancer and its symptoms.  I declare that supernatural healing is flowing throughout his/her body, in Jesus Name.

List the names of persons who are battling with cancer.  Now, declare this word over their lives today and encourage them to trust the Lord.  Give them a copy of the healing scriptures and encourage them to pray them.  Healing scriptures can be downloaded from www.kingdombuilders.com.  Go to the prayer link.

Holy Spirit, please reveal the cure for cancer.  We ask You to increase the wisdom and knowledge of medical researchers as they perform cancer studies.  We ask You to strengthen those persons who are being treated for cancer.  Increase their endurance and patience as they undergo x-rays, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biological therapy, hormone therapy, surgery, cryosurgery and other procedures.  Holy Spirit, comfort and strengthen their family members.  Help their family members to walk in love, peace, patience and faith.  Please protect those who have not been touched by cancer.  Destroy any triggers that would create cancerous cells in our bodies.  Lord, help us to break poor eating and sleeping habits.   Remind us to exercise, eat healthy and get enough sleep.

Father, we ask You to forgive the sins of those diagnosed with cancer.  Forgive us all for unhealthy lifestyles and habits.  Forgive us for not being good stewards of neither our bodies nor our children’s.  Forgive us for holding grudges, unforgiveness, resentment, and embedded anger.  Lord, remind all of us of those people we need to forgive; and help us to be quick to forgive.

Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, You are our Redeemer.  You are the Lord who makes all things.  You stretched out the heavens all alone and You spread abroad the earth.  Lord, forever Your Word is settled in heaven.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
