A Declaration for Kingdom Finances

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 113, Deuteronomy 6:10-25

Reflections of the Heart:

“As a king of the King, I will make choices so that my God-given domain positions me for blessings, delight, provision, and prohibition.  I choose to get ready for my new life as a king!” ~ Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our provider.  Thank You for giving us Your Word on how to make our way prosperous and successful.  Father, thank You for surrounding us with Your favor like a shield as we do business in our public and private lives. Thank You for continuing to open doors of opportunity.  Thank You, Father, for Your Word to use as our economic strong tower during these trying financial times. We praise You with all of our hearts; we will tell of all the marvelous things You have done.  Your reign is forever. You execute judgment from Your throne. You judge the world with justice and the people righteously. Lord, You are a shelter for the oppressed and a refuge in times of trouble. We trust in You because we know Your Name; we know that You do not abandon those who search for You.  Father, Your righteousness reaches to the highest heavens. You have done wonderful things! Who can compare with You?

Glorious Father, we declare that we are blessed because we fear You, and delight in obeying Your commands.  We believe that Your plans for our finances are for good and not for disaster, to give us a prosperous future and a hope.  As we are willing and obedient, according to Your Word, we will have plenty to eat. We will trust in You because we know that Your Word is Truth. We confess that our confidence is in You and not in our jobs, our investments, our bank accounts or ourselves. We commit to seeking Your Kingdom first above all things and living righteously and we know that You will give us everything we need. We rebuke old mindsets, habits and behavior patterns that have created lack and poverty. In the Name of Jesus, we stand united against thoughts of failure, defeat, and mediocrity. According to Your Word, we confess that we will be wealthy and our good deeds will last forever.

What are God’s promises for your finances?  Write those Scriptures down and confess them over your life:

Holy Spirit, we ask You to help those who are drowning in financial debt.  Lead them to someone who can help them to manage their finances better. As we receive increases in our finances, help us, Holy Spirit, to remember that You are the One who provides abundance. Please help us to not hoard Your financial blessings. Your Word says that when we help the poor, we are lending to the Lord and He will repay our generosity. So please, Holy Spirit, remind us to be generous and to look for opportunities to be a financial blessing to someone else in need. Teach us Your Way to love people and to use money, rather than the devil’s way of loving money and using people.

Merciful Father, forgive us for all acts of sin including idolatry, greed, stinginess, self-centeredness, arrogance, pride, stubbornness, financial disobedience and any other act of unrighteousness. Forgive those of us who continue to participate in the downward spiral of financial mismanagement.  Forgive those of us who, whether in ignorance or in rebellion, fail to develop financial plans that include tithing, debt reduction, savings and investments. Forgive us for living beyond our means and misusing credit cards. Father, forgive those members of the Body of Christ who do not pay their tithes and help them to get on track and begin to tithe.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Father, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Glorious Lord, You made the earth by the power of Your Word and preserve it by Your Wisdom.  With Your own understanding You stretched out the heavens. When You speak in the thunder, You announce that the heavens are filled with water.  You cause the clouds to rise over the earth. You send the lightning with the rain and release the wind from Your storehouses. Holy, holy, holy are You the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the whole earth is filled with Your glory!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

April 28: A Declaration of Kingdom Financial Blessings

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your eternal love and unmerited grace.  We thank You for Your love for us that never ceases and Your mercy which never comes to an end.  Your mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.  Thank You, Father, for being our strength, our shield, our provider and our Savior. You are great and You do wondrous things.  You are God alone.  Lord, You are in Your Holy temple; You are on Your heavenly throne.  To You, O God do we give thanks.  Yes, to You do we give thanks.  We extol You, our God, O King; and we bless Your Name forever and ever.

Righteous Father, as Kingdom citizens, it is Your will that we excel in the area of our finances.  We recognize that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.  Therefore, we will earn, save, spend and invest money in obedience to Your perfect plan for our lives and our families.  We confess that as You bring financial blessings into our lives, we will remember that it is You who gives us the power to get wealth so that the covenant which You swore to our fathers will be established and we will be positioned as instruments to build Your Kingdom.  Father, we decree that all that we set our hands to do is blessed because You have commanded blessings on our storehouses, including savings, investments and retirement accounts.  Lord, as Your blessings overtake us, we will be able to lend money to many and not have to borrow from anyone.  We confess that as we bring our tithes and offerings into Your house, we are expecting You to pour out blessings that we will not have room to receive and You will rebuke the devourer for our sakes.  Lord, because we will be faithful stewards of Your financial blessings, we expect You to confirm Your Word and make us rulers over abundant wealth.

Holy Spirit, show me what I need to do so that I can be a better steward of the resources I have been blessed with:

Holy Spirit, we ask that You shift our focus from spending to saving and from consuming our income to building wealth.  Help the members of the Body of Christ to bind mercy and truth around our necks and write them on our hearts; causing us to have favor in Your sight and in the sight of man.   Lord, help us to study Your Word, to meditate on it day and night and observe to do the things written within it so that we may make our way prosperous and have good success.  Holy Spirit, help us to build business and personal relationships with other Christians.  Help us to begin to love people and use money, rather than loving money and using people.  We pray for a breaking of old mindsets and generational curses of poverty and lack within the families in the Body of Christ.

Forgiving Father, forgive us for our sins.  Forgive us for repeating patterns of financial failures such as living beyond our means and misusing credit cards.  Forgive those in the Body of Christ and our communities for our heavy dependence on payday loan outlets and pawn shops.  Forgive us for failing to develop financial plans that include debt reduction, savings and investments.  Father, forgive us for walking by sight, rather than walking in faith. Forgive many of us for entertaining thoughts that we are supposed to have the most of the worst and the least of the best.  Forgive those in our congregation who have refused to make court-ordered child support payments.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Yours, Almighty God, is the power and the glory.  Yours, O Lord, is the victory and the majesty.  All that is in heaven and earth is Yours.  Yours is the Kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

April 24: A Declaration of Kingdom Financial Giving

Honorable Father, we thank You for the Spring Feasts. Thank You for this special time to commune with You.  Thank You for providing for our families so that we can bring an offering back to You.  Lord, the heavens proclaim Your glory and the skies display Your craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Your presence known.  We praise You, our Rock.  Be exalted, the God of our salvation!   We will praise You among the nations and sing praises to Your Name!  Because of You, Lord, we are filled with laughter, and we sing for joy.  Others have said what amazing things the Lord has done for them.  Yes, You, Lord, have done amazing things for our Church Family!   What joy we have experienced with You!

Loving Father, You have set the appointed times for us to celebrate and worship You in the spring.  As a part of the celebration, Your Word instructs us to bring offerings as a sign of our love and devotion to You.  As a Church Family, we will obey Your Word and we look forward to giving of our best.  We will give with cheerful hearts to You during the Spring Feasts.  As we give, we trust that according to Your Word, You will generously provide all that we need.  Then, we will always have everything we need and have plenty left over to share with others.  We confess that we will trust You with our finances and will give as we are led by the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit, my Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits offerings will be:

Holy Spirit, please help us to yield our hearts to You as You lead and direct us in our giving during the Spring Feasts.  Help us to be willing and generous in our giving and not hesitant or stingy.  Lord, You said that if we honored Your feasts, You would increase our harvest.  Father, touch the financial seeds that we have planted and cause them to grow. Bless us with increase so that we will have a tremendous offering to give to You during this special time.  Increase our faith to trust You for unseen and miraculous financial blessings.  For those in need of financial resurrection, bless their finances.  Father, bless those who do not have anything to give with a miraculous offering.  Help our Church Family to honor You with disciplined financial stewardship.    Father, show us Your glory as we give our offerings during the Spring Feasts and please accept them as a sign of our love and devotion to You.

Loving Father, forgive us when we have not brought our tithes and offerings to You.  Forgive our hesitancy when we are asked to give to You.  Forgive those who have created financial situations in their lives that are so desperately in need of repair that they are not positioned to give freely during the feasts.  Forgive all of us for any selfishness or greed.  Remind us of those that we owe so that we may repay our debts.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord God, the Almighty, You are the one who is and who always was.  You have assumed Your great power and have begun to reign.  All glory belongs to You, who alone is God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord.  All glory, majesty, power, and authority are Yours before all time, in the present, and beyond all time!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

March 12: A Prayer for Employment in the United States

Awesome Father, we thank You for providing employment for us, Your children.  Thank You for sustaining those who are in need of a financial breakthrough.  Thank You for helping them daily.  Thank You, for being our source and our supply.  Holy and righteous is Your Name.  You are a great God, and a great King above all other gods.  You are our God; and we are the people of our pasture, and the flock under Your care.  Lord, You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth.  You are our strength and shield, and we trust in You.  You help us and our hearts are filled with joy.  We burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Holy Father, it is Your will that Your children live healthy, productive, happy, and balanced lives. We confess that as those people who are seeking employment place their trust in You and do good; they will live safely in the land and prosper.  They will never let loyalty and kindness leave them.  They will tie them around their necks as a reminder; and write them deep within their hearts.  Then they will find favor with both You and men, and they will earn a good reputation.  Lord, we declare that they will trust in You with all their hearts; and not depend on their own understanding.  They will seek Your will in all that they do, and we believe that You will show them which path to take.  In Jesus’ Name, we command the doors of employment to open for our unemployed.  We declare that when they receive employment, they will work as if You are their direct supervisor.  They will not talk back or steal, but will show themselves to be entirely trustworthy and good. They will respect authority, walk in integrity and complete a full day’s work for a full day’s pay.

If you know someone who is unemployed or who wants new employment, write down their names and insert their names into this prayer:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Righteous Father, help those who are unemployed to prepare for their new job.  Send people who will consult with them about how to prepare a resume and how to dress and prepare for an interview. Remind them that because they trust in You, they will not lack any good thing.  Holy Spirit, please help them to not grow discouraged or frustrated, but help them to continue to remain hopeful and expect their breakthrough to come forth.  Father, some need a miracle right now.  Please help them.  Holy Spirit, for those who have a poor work ethic, help them to improve.   Erase any negative perception caused by past work experiences.  Holy Spirit, help stretch their income until employment is found.

Merciful Father, forgive those people who demonstrate a poor work ethic.  Forgive them for not being on time, leaving early, and wasting time.  Forgive those who have not paid their tithes and offerings (consistently), or spent their money unnecessarily.  Forgive those for misusing company property.  Forgive those who have operated in arrogance, greed, lust, pride, arrogance, and rebellion.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind those people who are seeking employment to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help them not to yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations.  Who can be compared to You?  Who is Your equal?  Lord, You are high above all nations.  Your glory is above the heavens.  Yours is the Kingdom, power, and glory forever.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

February 25: A Declaration of Financial Stability

Beloved Father, thank You for being our Great Provider. Thank you for jobs, businesses, and income. Thank You for all of the blessings that Your favor has afforded us. Let us live forever in Your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of Your wings! For You have heard our vows, O God. You have given us an inheritance reserved for those who fear Your Name. May we remain under Your protection forever. May Your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over us. Then we will sing praises to Your Name forever as we fulfill our vows each day.

Lord, we, the Body of Christ, declare that the earth is Yours, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to You. In light of this truth, we declare that we will not rely on the government or anyone else to help us to become financially stable. We will trust in You with all our hearts and we will not depend on our own understanding. We will seek Your will in all we do, and we know that You will show us which path to take. We will not place the welfare of our families at risk by making hasty or unwise financial decisions. As ambassadors of Your Kingdom, we take authority over debt, greed, and reckless spending in all forms. In Jesus’ Name, we rebuke the spirit of poverty, and we command that all that God has entitled us to have is released back into our possession right now! We decree that we will not love money, but we will be satisfied with what we have, for Father, You promised that You will never fail us and You will never abandon us. We will no longer be in fear about our financial future, but we will submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit who understands all things pertaining to life.

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what areas of financial stewardship you and your family need to improve so that you can become more financially stable:

Holy Spirit, help us to act responsibly in the way we handle our money. Remind us to put God first in everything we do. Give us a strong conviction to never withhold our tithes and offerings and to be generous toward others. Lord, teach us to be cheerful givers, for You promised that if we sow sparingly we will also reap sparingly. But if we sow bountifully we will also reap bountifully. Help those of us who are married to work together, not against one another, and to pray for direction about our family finances. Help all of us to seek out wise counsel to improve our understanding of financial management. Give us patience as we go through the process of correction and restoration. May we learn from our past mistakes and be mindful to leave a faithful path of excellence in stewardship for our children to follow.

Holy Father, forgive us of our many sins, including slothfulness, greed, pride, selfishness, arrogance, and rebelliousness. Forgive us when we carelessly make vows, then break them. Forgive us for conforming to the world’s way of doing things instead of adopting the values of the Kingdom. Forgive those of us who still withhold our tithe from You. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Almighty King, You are greater than we can understand. Your years cannot be counted. Everything comes from You and exists by Your power and is intended for Your glory. All glory to You, Lord, forever! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
